I think it is embarrassing for a woman in her mid-30s to act like this.

It feels so effortful, and I can't figure out who she's doing it for. Him? His family? Her friends? The media? Fans? I feel bad for her that she feels she has to perform in her private life in this way. She has so much money and her career/legacy is secure. But this stuff comes off as incredibly desperate and small.

It's "effortful" because she's madly in love and that's what you do when you're in love - you put yourself out for the other person and show up and support them. It just so happens the guy she loves is on national TV every week and she has the time and money to go see him.

What else is she supposed to do?

I don't think it's the going to games that seems effortful. It's the way she is putting on this whole "footballer's girlfriend" persona -- the outfits and befriending all the players and their wives. I get doing some of that but it feels like she's taken it to an extreme that feels over-the-top for someone she literally met for the first time in July. It feels like it's gonna crash and burn because it's not possible not sustain that level of intensity for very long and I think the let down when they stop acting this giddy is going to be big.

To me, one of the nice things about dating and then marrying someone in my 30s was that it was more chill. We were more mature and measured and did a better job of getting to know each other by just spending time 1:1 in normal, not intense environments. We didn't meet parents or show up to each others work events or any of that stuff until we'd already been together about 6 months, because that's about how long it took to really get to know each other and figure out that not only was their chemistry/attraction, but also we had compatible personalities, similar goals, and we thought we'd go the distance. And then we did. What Travis and Taylor are doing looks stressful and like a distraction from really getting to know each other in a way that would lead to something serious.

People like you are so bizarre. Nobody cares what you did. People will do things my way. Personally, I would prefer marrying in my 20s over being a leftover who has to settle in their 30s. But you do you!

Absolutely uncalled for.

Fake or not, isn’t this the most public she’s been with any of her relationships?

Only because she goes to his games, which are nationally televised.

DP. Taylor is in her mid thirties and never married; is she a “leftover” too?

No. As has been mentioned previously, she has behaved almost identical to this in other relationships, just not with Joe Alwyn who she was with for a while so people forget. Her relationship with Tom Hiddleston unfolded in an extremely similar fashion, with them initially getting together at the Met Gala (there was video of them dancing together and getting very friendly) and then going on a series of very public holidays together over the course of a summer.

The main difference with Kelce is that he played football on television once a week for their entire relationship, and once that becomes a thing, it created a lot of focus on their relationship (would she come to the game? what celeb friend would she bring? would she hang out with the other players' wives? what would she wear? would they go home together afterwards) and garnered a lot of attention. But that was purely a function of Kelce's job and her choice to come to his games. She has not been any more public about this relationship than basically any of her non-Alwyn relationships. Heck, it's similar to how she manages her friendships -- everyone knows who she'd buddies with, she often has pretty public "girls nights" or trips.

Taylor has historically not been very private at all about her personal life, it's just that the combination of dating Alwyn in the UK during the pandemic gave people this impression that she's very private. That was him, not her. She likes to flaunt her relationships. She likes it when people watch.

This. You see paparazzi shots of them together but most of those are before/after games. I haven't seen many of them just like, walking on the street together.

I would not say it is extremely similar. The relationship with TH was clearly a rebound after she broke up with a bf of a few years. With that one I feel like she and Calvin Harris broke up and a week later she was on a whirlwind romantic trip to Italy with Tom.

Imo the TK relationship is different. She said their first date was in July. We didn't know they were dating/see them together until late September.

Where would you see a paparazzi shot of them walking on the street together? He lives and plays in Kansas City -- it's not NY. He plays almost every Sunday so they can't go out on weekend nights, then he has practice, team travel (traveling with the team is a big deal for pro athletes, many teams require it so you can't just hop on your girlfriend's jet and meet the guys in the next city), plus he's been in the middle of a season -- he's got required gym time, PT time to treat injuries, etc. The Chiefs also played in Germany during the season and that a tough two weeks for travel.

So basically they've had: after games, the bye week (when he went to South America to see her in concert), the week he played the Jets in NY. This is not like when she dates an actor or another musician and you might see them grabbing brunch or going out to drinks with friends in NYC or London.

The relationship with Hiddleston was a PR set up to promote him in the Night Manager and attempt to launch him in more of a "leading man" role because he was feeling pigeonholed as a villain due to playing Loki in the Marvel universe. I don't know if Kelce is a fake relationship but I feel VERY confident that the Swift-Hiddleston alliance was a PR set up. Possibly a beard situation, I don't know what his deal is.

Do you think women have to start wearing Coldwater Creek and staying back at the nursing home on weekends to knit once they turn a certain age? I'm sorry your 30s sound kind of lame.

Dying at the Coldwater Creek reference. I would’ve probably gone Chicos, but this is so much better.

I was dying too! Better than " coastal grandma" wear. I' M thinking this dour poster has the "dreaded mom", short, " sensible", sexless haircut to accompany her dowdy attire. People seem really hostile towards Swift ..so crazy that " mom haircut" called Taylor "creepy". So insane!

Different poster. So is this relationship with Travis Kelce another rebound?

Because her previous boyfriends couldn’t handle her fame.

It might be, might not be. She had only been broken up with Calvin for a week or so when she went to Italy with Tom Hiddleston. She broke up with Joe Alwyn in April so if she started dating Travis in July there were at least a few months.

I like Taylor and don't care if this is PR either way but I will say a negative is she's a known cheater so maybe there was some overlap.

Is it possible he’s gay or bi? He’s quite old to be childless and never married.

No. He also runs his mouth on his corny podcast. They’re both so thirsty for attention.
