Nice, more democrats. Last election they broke 62/35 for Obama. A few decades ago they broke 50/50 but the new immigrants must be helping out the cause.

More importantly, the number of legal immigrants has sharply increased while the number of illegal immigrants has sharply decreased. And the influx of Asian immigrants is the best educated group of immigrants to enter the country. Considering that America has lost its edge as the technological, science and engineering world leader, this is just the type of influx that the country needs to get back on track. Lots of good news and information here.

You keep making this claim which people keep pointing out to you is inaccurate. The report says that 45% of Hispanic "immigrants" are undocumented. The US Hispanic community is much larger than the immigrant population. If you extrapolate, only 16% of Hispanics in the US are undocumented.

This article is incorrect and very misleading.

An H1-B visa is only TEMPORARY and good for up to 7 years - that is NOT an application for "citizenship" or premanent residency (green card) - that is an error in reporting.

There are 50 million DOCUMENTED hispanics in the U.S. compared to 17 million asians per the last census - if you take into account undocumented hispanics, there are probably 5 x as many hispanics in the U.S. as asians, if not more (I have never met an undocumented asian, and I'm from MoCo/Fairfax County, with 2 of the highest asian populations in the entire U.S.)

Plus, FYI, "asians" includes people from India, as well as Korea, Japan, China, etc. . .

Significantly better than your typical iPhone carrying white teenager.

I beg to differ with the poster regarding the H1b visa. An employer who can prove a good faith effort to fill a position, currently held by a hib visa holder, with a US citizen possessing comparable skills and failing to do so may then sponsor the H1B visa holder for a green card.

Calling the article a lie and misleading is just typical of right wing half truths
