Sister/Brother schools?

What all-girls schools do Prep typically associate with? What about Gonzaga, Dematha and etc. Do they have sister/brother schools?

It's hard to generalize, because boys at those schools come from a broad geographic area and hang out with girls from many different schools. A lot of Prep guys hang out with girls from Stone Ridge (right down the street), but I don't know if they're officially sister/brother schools. Gonzaga's sister school is Visitation I think, although they also associate a lot with girls from Holy Cross, Stone Ridge, Holy Child, St. John's etc. DeMatha and Seton have traditionally had a lot of overlap, being relatively near each other.

In most cases, for boys in all-boys schools, it has less to do with the official "sister" school and more to do with what schools the boys already have friends at (e.g. maybe they have a sister at an all-girls school and know girls through her, or girls they know from elementary school or their neighborhood.

Exactly what 22:58 said - a lot of kids still mingle based on their grade school relationships once they move on to single sex high schools. There might be some "traditional" brother/sister school relationships based on geography and time of school founding, but we have not observed any true pairings in terms of fraternizing.

I have essentially the same input.

I have never heard Stone Ridge or Visitation referred to as a sister school by any of the students. Prep boys hang out with girls from all the Catholic girls schools including Holy Cross and Holy Child.

Occasionally I have heard Visitation referred to as a sister school to Gonzaga and that relationship may be stronger.

Gonzaga / Georgetown Visitation
Georgetown Visitation is the "sister school" of Gonzaga. Students of the two schools frequently attend each other's dances and athletic events and participate in school dramatic and choral productions. Gonzaga students also spend their time with the girls of such schools as the Academy of the Holy Cross and the girls of Stone Ridge. Gonzaga's official allegiance, however, belongs to the girls of Georgetown Visitation.

Madeira.Woodberry Forest

And while the first two pairings are formalized relationships between the schools (STA/NCS much stronger tie than Holton/Landon), the third and fourth are just a tendency to associate.

Landon girls?

Prep boys with Stone Ridge girls.

Gonzaga boys with Visitation girls.

St Alban’s boys with Cathedral girls.

Stone Ridge and Prep has a freshman social mixer together to start the year and then they do some service events and projects together.

No - Prep and Stone Ridge start their freshman years off with a social event together . They also have various other activities together throughout the years.
Often siblings go to one of those two schools as well.

So some one please tell me who is holy cross brother school ?

None of the Catholic schools have official brother/sister school relationships. While some kids hang out more often than other, they are all independent, single sex schools. Only St. Albans and NCS have an official relationship.
