What's with all the McLean threads?

Seems like a realtor is trying to drum up awareness on the boards.

I know. It's so boring and tiresome. I couldn't care less about McLean.

Mclean is one if not the top places to live in regards to proximity to both major jobs hubs (dc, tysons), good schools and price. Everything else seems to be major compromises

McLean has the three top public schools in NVa - Churchill, Spring Hill, and Chesterbrooke. It's close in, great parks, awesome restruants in Tysons, and more shopping than you can imagine. It's essentially the American dream.

I don't live in McLean, but in my opinion it is definitely the most desirable community/address in the DC metro area. I don't think anything else is close. Location, schools, amenities.

Agree all other places are compromises, name one otber place and you will find a major negative that out weighs the parity of positves of Mclean

I really do think so. Jeff, is it true? Did she start the thread, even?

I'm in McLean and it is more like the American Nightmare. While most of us live here for location, location, location - let's call it what it is. I know people from MUCH nicer places. Perhaps it is the best this area has to offer, but let's be honest. Many of the residents come from the middle of nowhere and brag about how long they have lived here, only to live in McShacks with piss poor practically makeshift additions that I could have built better myself. They make it loud and clear they can barely afford to live in McLean, and complain about everything every moment instead of watching their children. I honestly don't know how their husbands do it. Ladies, you would never want to subject yourself to these ugly hags. I am somehow sure you are better than that. You asked.
