Umm... Do Lyft and Uber drivers have access to a private pump? If the public can't get gas, neither can your Uber driver.

The Metro trains don't run on gas but they are a little restricted running on tracks so unless your destination is along the line, again, out of luck.

People were blocking intersections in Rockville Pike waiting in line for gas. What the heck is wrong with people? I understand they need gas and I don’t even care that they’re just sitting in the right lanes. I just care that they’re blocking the cross traffic at the intersection when they have a red light.

FIFY

We’d rather prepare. My husband, a huge leftist, was off on a bike ride blissfully unaware. I filled up his truck for him, as well as mine last night. I also told my adult kids to do same and all three heeded my advice. Husband has learned not to laugh after I bought extra toilet paper and got some masks before the Covid crisis really hit, due to the buzz. He went through almost all the toilet paper despite me asking him to leave that case in reserve because he thought I was ‘crazy’. Then the crisis hit and I realized what happened (he lied about not using it). He had to get up at 5 AM and get online at a store and STILL got the last 12 pack. Came home shell-shocked. Good think I hid those masks. I also got a hand sanitizer dispenser and put it out in the garage.

I have a small business and managed to get another case and a case of paper towels a couple weeks later through a janitorial supply service only businesses had access to.

Never change liberals and hope to hell you have a “Trump supporter” to (literally) CYA in a crisis

Sounds like your H is the only one in your household with a brain, since he rides a bike. You’re just as guilty as all the other hoarders.

What does he see in you ?

The ability to keep his kids alive and healthy and the household running while he goes off on his bike with his riding group 20 plus hours a week. I’d be more impressed if he used his bike to do something practical. Or perhaps consider buying an electric vehicle so we have at least one of each type.

You sound miserable. Maybe you should leave the man in peace and leave the marriage. Do you not have the skills to support yourself? At any rate this is not the forum to air your grievances. Bless your heart.

Masters degree, so yeah I do.

Pssst - the reason he rides a bike 20 hours a week is to escape the trumpkin he’s married to. If my H was a trumper, I’d divorce his sorry butt in a second and take him for everything he had.

If they don’t hug the bumper of the car in front of them - even in the intersection, people will simply cut in line in front of them and the line would never move.

See people like you think you get to people. You don't. We just expose you for who you are and laugh.

Yes, because every single place one needs to go is easily accessible via Metro. Of course! Why don't all these people standing in line for gas just take Metro? So easy.

I could go for a mean tweet and cheap gas.

Too often we go into reactionary mode and panic. Damn, I'm just thinking of how intelligent some of us are and we can't stop the cyber attack. We are not so smart after all.
It's a criminal act to ask for ransom (at least this is the case in the US). We should tackle that problem instead of panicking.
