Okay then, $5 a gallon. The price needs to be high enough to stop people from filling up when they didn’t need to. |
I'm in DC. It looks like the gas stations by my house have gas at regular prices. |
WTOP is reporting this morning that over 80% of DC stations are still empty. |
All the stations near me in Nova are totally back to normal. |
I think a company has the right to bill customers for providing a product and/or service. |
I agree. I also think that the government has the right to heavily regulate companies to provide essential services to the people. This needs to never happen again. |
And they could have done that. There are always manual ways to bill. |
+1 Between this and Texas power grid, I have renewed enthusiasm for regulation. |
+2. |
So hire people to do the billing manually until the system is back up. |
This is so weird. I never saw an "empty" gas station and this was a total non-issue. |
Where do you live? I’m in eastern Loudoun. Most all of the gas stations around here (Sterling/Ashburn area) were completely out of gas late last week. Things seem to be returning to normal now, though. |
That takes time. Time is not a week |
DP here. So do I and for the record Costco and Sam’s never ran out. |
