And for the people who do need it? Or do you not care about bankrupting small businesses and putting even more stress on low-wage and essential workers?

Okay then, $5 a gallon. The price needs to be high enough to stop people from filling up when they didn’t need to.

So basically the Koch's shut down the pipeline and disrupted lives in the SE and Mid Atlantic because...

Fact it, this is the Koch's, the funders of the right wing. they don't give a crap about the US or its citizens.

I'm in DC. It looks like the gas stations by my house have gas at regular prices.

WTOP is reporting this morning that over 80% of DC stations are still empty.

I think a company has the right to bill customers for providing a product and/or service.

I agree. I also think that the government has the right to heavily regulate companies to provide essential services to the people. This needs to never happen again.

And they could have done that. There are always manual ways to bill.

So hire people to do the billing manually until the system is back up.

This is so weird. I never saw an "empty" gas station and this was a total non-issue.

Where do you live? I’m in eastern Loudoun. Most all of the gas stations around here (Sterling/Ashburn area) were completely out of gas late last week. Things seem to be returning to normal now, though.
