Agreed. Concurrent is DL from inside the building. All the lolz to the parents. Also, There are no reasons (if you value your health) a teacher will leave their cubicle and attend an unmasked child. What a shitty treat lousy and lazy parents are in for.

Yes. 6-12 is January and it doesn’t matter how bad the numbers get. The kids are going in because saying both metrics have to be hit when the PPR is set to 10% is incredibly high. Even then it would have to stay there for 5 consecutive school days meaning if it drops to even 9.9 it resets and in person is “fine”. There’s no doubt in my mind they did this to make it nearly impossible to pause hybrid phasing, meaning 6-12 will go in January. 3-5 was also never in question. LCPS policy is written so much looser than every other districts so as to make in person nearly impossible to pause or revert. People acting like 3-5 making it in Tuesday is a huge surprise don’t understand metrics and how LCPS metrics make a full phase in possible even as other districts won’t send even K.

Luckily my friend is a doctor and I can ride that covid sickness policy. Which doesn’t take from my sick leave bank. Lol. F.uck LCPS metrics and the loonies who mandated it. My health trumps your needs.

I care about my health. I also think that with appropriate PPE and distancing, I can do my job, too. Get a KN-95, put a paper mask over it, and put a face shield on. Put hand sanitizer in your back pocket, soap next to the sink, and get on with it.

I don’t think it’s dicey to go back to school now. I’m also fine with a planned week of DL after each break. But the instability was manufactured by the school board “metrics.” We could just do hybrid K-12 as long as VA is in Phase 3, per the Governor. No flip flopping required.

Sure why have metrics at all. Free for all sounds good. You realize covid spread is out of control everywhere and every single state is in its version of phase 3. It doesn’t mean it safe for all activity . It means they got no support from the federal government and had to prioritize the economy even while schools needed to be closed. It’s like none of you truly understand the scope of these choices and why they were made.
