not to be dramatic - but are Republicans in a death cult?

South Korea is closer to China. South Korea has a denser packed population. South Korea had cases before we did. South Korea had a super spreader even before any in the US in their "cult megachurch". On March 2nd, South Korea had 4,000 cases and the US had only 16 cases. Given their population density and how many cases they had sooner, they should be much worse off than we are. Instead they've almost wiped it out. Meanwhile Trump sat on his hands and did nothing because it was in the blue states. He's not the President of every American. He's the President of the red states of America.

Their attitude toward climate change seems sort of similarly beyond nihilistic - nihilism would be like "well who cares" while they actually seem to actively pursue death.

Anyway, good times here in Trump's America!

I hope the think the Kool Aid soon!

As someone who is about to lose a family member to Covid, I have nothing but rage at Trump and the Republicans for their inaction and indifference to the pandemic.

Yes, they are in a death cult.

I repeatedly have to assure my aunt and uncle this is real, because their church is still on the "Dem hoax" message and meeting in person with no masks and no social distancing, in Virginia.

I am so sorry.

A good friend of mine is in the same boat. Her brother is a huge Trump fan, went to a rally, refused to wear a mask and is now about to die. She's the only Dem in the family and has argued with them all year about Trump and Covid. She's devastated and really angry. I'm trying to be a supportive friend but it's hard.

I mean what can you do? Her family like so many others are blinded by Trump. When we come out of this on the other side, a lot of people are going to look back and realize just how wrong they were. Until Trump is out of office and the media is no longer reporting his asinine comments, this insanity won't stop. By 2022 a lot of people that love Trump right now are going to hate him.

Look up the definition of federalism.

What an asinine point.

Trump is the figurehead of the Republican party, and state and local leaders take their cues from him. Not to mention Trump actively undermining state governors' stay-at-home orders, and bungling the distribution of PPE.

Seriously, what an asinine point. Did you think you were quite clever posting this?

Not to mention that not only has Trump refused to wear a mask but openly mocked those who do. He is responsible for the fact that all of his cult followers don’t wear masks and are openly hostile to those who do or to the politicians who mandate mask wearing. Trump indirectly has blood on his hands.
