Yes... (speaking in a very dry tone). June 15-December 1st. What happened last year? Oh, you mean covid cases falling sharply in warm states in the winter and rising in cold states? And what is happening *now*? Oh, covid cases falling sharping in warm states and rising in cold states. Got it. |
“The results show that the gap in overall death rates between Democratic and Republican counties increased more than sixfold from 2001 to 2019, especially for white populations, and was driven mainly by deaths due to heart disease, cancer, chronic lung disease, unintentional injuries, and suicide.”

Between the red states' Covid death rates and their regular death rates from everything else, it seems republicans really are a death cult. Just give everyone more guns to kill each other, and it will be fine. /s |
Yee haw red states!

Why are republicans like this now?
Do they feel like they are "sticking it to the libs" when their fellow conservatives die? |
Yes, I think that’s part of it. There’s a scorn for expertise and education; with that, in many cases, comes death. They’re willing to take that on to prove that they’re better than those who try to help them. |
Right. But where is the rest of the data and how was it complied. How can you say recovering MORE than the jobs lost to COVID was due to COVID? Clearly Utah is growing, many retrieving Californians are moving there so they need people. In sum. you can’t say that the increase in jobs is due to Covid. This is just poorly done data you are parading around. |
Typical response. "It's awesome all these people died because red states recovered faster than blue states, so totally worth it!"
Definitely a death cult. |
That’s what fascism is, in part. I don’t think all the MAGA people started out as bad humans. I think they grew up in authoritarian homes, many of whose heads were actual bullies, and they’ve in turn become bullies themselves. But as we all know, bullies are cowards and cowards need to be led around by the nose. They like to feel protected and special and in Trump and the GOP they’ve found the biggest bullies of all. |

Until vaccination rates improve for R's they're going to keep killing their own. |
