Yale is lovely. Perhaps best architecture on any U.S. campus.


It looks great. But when I learned all the residential colleges were built in the early 30s - with the exteriors of some then even intentionally aged to look more historic - it diminished the appeal to me, made it seem a little like Epcot or something, with faithful but faux recreations.

Harvard's houses of the same period are neo-Georgian. You could say the same for so many other schools. Why pick on Yale?
