You trashy, clean up yr mustachey, yo a ho and yo gettin ol.

wow, another clueless white gen-Xer calling Beyonce trashy. How original.

i guess that singing about heroin addiction is deemed not trashy but a "pained reality of addiction".

fwiw I love elliot smith and don't care for Beyonce.

But previous poster is so comically racist, it's like a caricature of clueless white people.

I'm white, and I think she's trashy. Her lyrics are stupid, and while she can move, some of her moves can be done on a pole.

Miley Cyrus is trash, too.

So I'm not sure what you're getting at by calling out "clueless white people," but hon, trash is trash. sorry if you have poor taste in performers

Can you read? I just said that I don't care for Beyonce.

Can YOU read?

I'm focusing on this line -
But previous poster is so comically racist, it's like a caricature of clueless white people.

I can't stand Beyonce' just as much as I can't stand trashy WHITE singers. So if someone is going to bring RACE into the issue, I, a white woman, am explaining that TRASH TRANSCENDS RACE.

Those who do care for Beyoncé will have no problem ignoring your antics and melodramatics they will simply turn up the volume and enjoy Queen Bey like they always have whether you approve or not..

As evidenced by this thread? Lol.

Trash is trash.

However, pp has the audacity to give a pass to the likes of white artist who had serious drug problems. I loved Amy Whinehouse but no, her lyrics were not that deep and guess what...she made a song with Jay-z. She also talked about sex and drugs. She was also vulgar and loved to cuss. She also looked like a crackhead.

You listing one white artist as trash is indeed clueless. Miley isn’t the only one.

Really? I'm clueless?

So we're talking about Beyonce' - ONE artist - and you're asking for a list of trashy white artists who are rivals?

Why would I waste my time adding more to the list?

So . . . If this were about Miley Cyrus instead (b/c in my mind, she's hit an all-time low on the trash scale), would we also have to create a list of trashy black performers to list on that thread? sort of like . . . oh - You listed Amy W. So I'll come back with Cardi B., who hates p***y wedges, by the way, and thus felt the need to publicly "air it out." Klassy . . .

Is that what you want? b/c if so, I don't have time for that, as Cardi B. just about wore me out!

You’re still clueless.

The thread indeed started out about about Beyoncé and then comments turned ignorant. Posters acting as though Beyoncé is doing something many other artist are not. As I said, a pp gave a pass to white artist singing about drugs. You then chose to continue to bash Beyoncé and likened her to Miley Cyrus as trash, like they are in the same league. Comment to the idiot poster who gave a pass to the white artist singing about drugs and maybe you won’t be so clueless. You clearly have time as here you are now wasting time calling out Cardi B (who isn’t white).

I'm not upset or arguing with anybody I'm chilling listening to Queen Bey
I know you'd like to think I'm over here having a fit cause some anonymous nobody isn't a fan but I'm not hardly bothered I'm just offering my opinions same as anyone else so not nearly as bent out of shape as the folks who think the apocalypse is upon us because of non-nice-and-sweet-Sesame-Street-song-lyrics.

But I’m not white. Not black either. That’s a head scratcher for you, huh? Also you can create art about any topic, but Beyoncé’s lyrics are just plain crass. She’s got nothing on great black women singers from the Motown era. She’s just trashy. Her music is junk.

Np and no I don’t think it’s a head scratcher. You probably want to embrace and be embraced by white culture.

No I don’t actually. I just want to listen to good music. I don’t care if it’s about drugs or sex. I don’t care if the artist is white, black or green. I grew up in the new wave era, them got into punk and indie stuff, and most recently listen to a lot of soul and Motown. I’m not white, but Asian. And I’m a woman! I have an extremely diverse group of friends and mostly don’t share their taste in music. I especially dislike most (not all) dance music or contemporary pop music. Country or country lite is the worst. What they call emo these days is pure face tattoo trash. NPR fetishizes the worst music. As you can tell I am opinionated about music, but not race.

Anyone who has to explain they have “an extremely diverse group of friends” doesn’t. No one cares that you are a woman, that goes for everyone who screams that like it means something and is suppose to sway some kind of opinion. All I see is a person who basically hates music but feels like they need to explain why. Your idea of good music is subjective and honestly sounds like you would prefer to sit in silence.

+1

The ppl upset are the ones who are dismayed and butthurt that Beyoncé is still a powerhouse. She’s still able to sell out concerts. The industry loves her. As someone mentioned before, your fave more than likely loves her. How many clueless posters have said Beyoncé is making a mistake like she isn’t still selling out.

Ain’t nothing left.

That was my first post on this thread.

You protest too much. You care a lot.

Who cares about Beyonce? She certainly doesn't care about you. She just wants money.

Lol at all the biddies going on and on about how trashy beyonce is, all while sitting in front of your little computer screens in your cozy home or office. Meanwhile she's been around the world, can snap her fingers to go anywhere, probably the moon if she wanted to, all while doing something she enjoys doing and laughing all the way to the bank.

To the parents upset that she's not being a good role model, how about YOU be a role model to the children you brought into this world, instead of expecting a stranger to do it for you.

I'm assuming you don't have kids. Peer influences and media count for a lot as kids get older.
