^ we are not Trump voters and so I guess we are not among those who are regretting our votes. but my husband is a sometimes-republican voter who says he is going for all ds going forward.

Ummm, I’m a Republican and pissed at this Tax Bill as much as anyone else.

But do you understand the other increases in taxes you would face if it was All Democrats controlling everything? How about the new top tier income tax rate proposals coming from them? Also if we get a universal healthcare system, don’t you think your taxes will go way up to pay for it to subsidize the people who will be getting it for free without working?

I am the 7k poster from above. If it were going to education, healthcare and infrastructure, I would be ok with it. Instead, it is going to Devos, Koch and Addelson.

You're rich enough to have a 401K and 529s. Most people aren't. Sixty percent of Americans see no benefit from the Trump tax cut.

First, many people will technically have lower taxes, but the cuts are so tiny as to be hardly noticeable. The Tax Policy Center estimates the 60% of Americans at the lower end of the income distribution will have federal tax savings of less than $1,000. Also, most people believe the tax cuts didn’t benefit people like them but the very wealthy. They are right. Those in the top 1% save $51,000.

Just got our #s from our accountant. We will pay $50k less under the new system compared to the old. $50k! Which is great. But we are not the people who need to pay less. This is not good on a macro level.
