Beatrice looks terrified.

To me she looks like the centerpiece of the photo. The royal blue stands out and draws the eye. I know its supposed the Queen but she's too low to the ground to immediately draw your gaze. So I went right to Beatrice, then for the bride in white.

I just think it’s weird that there’s so much space between everyone.

Perhaps because if by doing so the queen would no longer be the central focus? I think they should’ve scooted the queen and Eugenie closer, then snuck in Andrew behind and slightly to the right of the queen.

NP. And that’s also the reason the Queen was not Princess Royal when she would’ve been eligible for it. The title was held by her aunt Princess Mary, who was the only daughter of King George V.

It looks like the photographer didn’t want anyone standing directly behind the queen or Phillip, which threw the entire composition off.
