I'd like to tell Sheryl Sandberg to STFU.

It's like people think they can have no connection or understanding with someone in a certain income tax bracket, like she is incapable of understanding your basic human experience and vice versa. So many of you clearly just want to see her suffer for no good reason. This is especially sad because she should be a role model for women. There is nothing inherently annoying about her - she's not Gwyneth Paltrow talking down to people. She worked incredibly hard to get to the top of a business, in a male-dominated world, and she wrote a book trying to help other women up and give advice, and she's known as being a mentor and a kind person. Yet, everyone on here "hates" her because she's so annoying and so out-of-touch. Who should we be listening to for advice then, Kim Kardashian? Or just losers? Poor people only?

+100000000000 PP! I feel exactly the same way as you do about this thread. I don't think men hated on Donald Trump for being Donald the way women hated on Hilary Clinton for being Hilary during the last election. The same way guys don't hate on Donald for his privilege the way women hate on Sheryl for hers. Very sad.

I think it's very sad that you think any criticism of Sheryl is sexism -- the premise of her book, the bulk of which was written by someone else, is trite, that doesn't take away from her personal success at Facebook and Google.

Not sure I would say that she is a role model in all respects. She travels often without her children.

I don't think we need more Sheryl Sandbergs. Do we want young women to seek out their "daddy/mentor", like she did. Decrepit old Larry Summers, president of Harvard couldn't resist helping this bright young thing, a Harvard student, mentoring her out of the goodness of his heart. If Sheryl clawed her way up without Lar Bear, I would respect her. She's a fraud and she will damage FB before it's over.

For many women Sheryl Sanberg's age, there were only older men as mentors. You see older women in the workplacd, but many of them didn't return to work until after their kids were grown or if they went through a divorce.

So not true -- this was true for Boomer women, not gen x.

Does she admit to having 24/7 nanny teams? No.
She's a fraud in the parenting department.
