Who here still watches Sister Wives?

Does he even want to be with Robyn? Good for Chrstine!

Robyn is his favorite. It was clear from the beginning that he fell head-over-heels for her.

I stopped watching a long time ago but I don't get why Meri even sticks around. Cody is a jerk to her. And, a jerk all together.

Agree, I haven't watched the last few seasons as it got boring and the same drama but I don't think he's even in love with her anymore.

I heard rumor that they moved to flagstaff because he had a side piece there. I honestly think that move is what will be responsible for the fracturing of their family. They were good in Las Vegas. They had everything they needed and were financially stable and they all had nice houses and were connected to each other while still having some healthy distance.

He forced this flagstaff thing that made absolutely no sense on any level and they have been unable to really find any kind of unity or rhythm there.

Rumor is they moved to Flagstaff because Robyn’s son was accepted to college in that state. Robyn was behind that crazy move.

So why are they in Flagstaff?

Robins son went to NAU for a time, and some of their other kids attend or attended NAU after the move. Flagstaff and vegas are vastly different size wise, weather, etc. I don’t know why they moved. Flagstaff is awesome but they had a much better set up in Vegas than here. Flagstaff also has a super limited economy, there are only 100 people and like 4 major employers. There are a ton of Mormons here and people give them privacy. All their kids have gone to public school unless they are homeschooling.

Christine has been miserable since Kody courted and married Robyn. Her eyes have never lost their sadness at being replaced. She was the one doing most of the childcare while Meri and Janelle worked.

I really wish Janelle would leave Kody and find someone who adored her. I’ll bet she’d lose weight just being away from that toxic environment. Janelle has the most beautiful face of all the wives.

Nah, I don't think so. Robyn was really upset about leaving Vegas. I think this was mostly Cody's "dream." He always seemed uneasy about Vegas because he never "chose" it and sort of felt like it was forced on him as the place they landed after they got forced out of Utah. He failed to realize that what they had there with 4 houses in one cul-de-sac was pretty good. His "dream" was also to have one big house, even though at least two of the wives were dead set against it. I'd be dead set against it, too for many reasons. One is that it would be expensive as hell to build with very reduced resale value because who wants a house that is divided up with so many different living quarters. In Cody's plan, each wife had their own small kitchen and living area, but they still had one larger family kitchen and living room. It would be a nightmare to resell. Per usual they had no concrete plan, but they ripped their kids out of school and blew up the settled lives they had in Vegas for the shitstorm they have created. I'm sort of surprised that they don't have enough TLC money to build what they want but 20+ people to take care of must be REALLY expensive.

Good for Christine for getting out. I really have no idea why Meri and Janelle stay--both of their kids are grown and there is nothing for them in Flagstaff. Meri should just go run the inn and be done with it. None of the other wives seem to want her around and Kody looks at her with disdain. I feel like she stays to be on TV and when this season is over, she's out. Janelle and Kody do seem to get along well but more in a brother/sister way. She seems like the "smart" one but staying with him doesn't seem so smart. As for Robyn, I don't think she's happy either but at least she gets the attention. She looks at Kody like she knows he is crazy but it seems like she likes the big family life and that's why she stays. I think it has little to do with Kody, actually. If the others all leave, I could see Robyn staying but not being happy.

I have no issues with consensual polygamy (people should do what they want) but I don't see how any man could look at that lifestyle and think it would make them happy. Four wives, four houses to keep up with and 20 kids? That sounds awful.

I think Meri stays because she lacks the fortitude to leave and because she has kind of a sad sack victim personality. She is like Matt Damon in the departed, she could deal with something being wrong for forever. She also I think stayed for a long time because she 'harmed' the marriage via her catfishing thing and I think she felt like she had an obligation to try to fix it and Mariah would never forgive her if she didn't. But I think Mariah is a vastly different person today than she was during that really bad period when they weren't speaking and that Mariah would not blame her for leaving now.

I think Janelle is very religious and believes deeply in plural marriage. She went in never really expecting a loving and deeply romantic relationship. She believes in the family structure in a way that I think only Robyn also does. So she is less unhappy, because she never expected Kody to meet her emotional needs. She has understood the bargain from the getgo but believes in it religiously.

I think Christine leaving could really blow the gates off here though. When I watched last season I thought to myself, wow Christine is going to leave. She is not like Meri, she cannot deal with being unhappy forever. And she isn't the type to just sit around doing nothing. And Kody treating Ysabel like crap was, IMO, the real last straw for her. And what TLC has given these four women that I imagine very few sister wives have is options. Christine has probably already inked the deal for her spin off. I would bet that Meri leaves too, soon, and that its possible that Kody is the one who leaves her, not the other way around.

I don't think Janelle or Robyn would ever leave. Robyn is the favorite who gets that real marriage with him, and Janelle just doesn't care about the relationship part IMO.

I had read on Reddit a while back that they were leaving all those Las Vegas houses because of balloon payment mortgages
