If you are a size 8, how much do you weigh?

It doesn’t sound right. Try again.

There was a 200 lb poster who claimed to be a size 2-4.

If I go over 140, a size 10 looks much better on.

This is kind of amazing. I weigh 140 pounds. I’m 5’4. I wear a size 4/6.

I'm the same as the second PP. I wear size 10-12 in designer brands, and often size 4 in Ann Taylor or Old Navy. Run of the mill average is about size 8. I'm an hourglass, so sometimes need to get the waist taken in and pants shortened.

NP- I’m the same weight and height and I’m a size 8 too.

I'm 145-150 5"5 and wear an 8. But they are a tiny bit big. I just can't get comfortable in a 6 and they don't make many 7's.

Let me ask you a question, PP. Do you feel like you are a reasonably thin person? I'm the PP who is 5'6 and fluctuates from 148-155, and I feel like I would be perfect at 145. But then I see many of my friends who weigh in the 120s and I think I'd really like to look like them. Am I kidding myself that 145 looks great on a 5'6 woman? I have big boobs and a spare tire around my belly, but my legs are ok.

Not to be harsh but this is a meaningless question because muscle weighs more than fat, and as a prior poster pointed out, it depends on build. I look great in a bikini and wear a size small in many designers or size 6 with this height and weight. there is so much more than just height and weight to figure out dress size and compare oneself to others' skininess or fatness.

I was a size 8 when I was 150 lbs post partum. I’m 5’6. I’m now 140 and a size 6. Pre pregnancy I was 130 and a size 4. So for me it seems pretty consistent 10 lbs per size . I’m pretty busty and also have a somewhat athletic build so I feel like I look pretty thin at size 6, looked really thin at size 4, and looked just slightly thick at size 8 (but that was also bc I had the postpartum stomach+boobs and felt frumpy).

Nope it sounds right to me.

25 years ago I was 5'4" and weighed 140 and I fit into a size 14 in better brands with not too much wiggle room and sometimes needed a size 16 or 18 in cheap stuff - walmart for example

Now I am the same height and same weight and I fit into a size 10 in many better brands and size 12 always fits with room and can squeeze into a size 8. Cheap brands I can wear a 12, 14 or 16 just depending what the item is and the store.

Cool, don't see why you need to revive an 8 year old thread to tell us your weight.

5'7" 150lbs. Some of 8s are a little tight on me right now - I still have 5lbs of baby weight (if you're allowed to call it baby weight at 14mos PP, lol) to lose.

At least it’s not a five-year old thread where the OP is asking for advice about a very particular situation.
