We have about 70 million in investments.

I've always been deeply opposed to crypto. Last year, crypto currency funded every kind of dangerous criminal. I would not touch crypto in a million years. Bitcoin is going to zero. If I was the government I'd close it down. People are losing money to scams and hucksters and flim-flam artists. These people who own these things should not own them. If you put your money into any of those things I do think you're an idiot.

Happy Uptober!

Crypto is for criminals.

If possible, please indicate your age, size of your portfolio, and % allocation to Bitcoin.

Thanks!

No interest in it. I'm not wealthy enough to invest in something that volatile.

And let's be real. Those making the most noise about crypto aren't the people who share my philosophy or lifestyle.

+1. Same.

I have around $10,000 worth. If it makes up less than 5% of your portfolio it doesn’t really matter that much.

$15m invested, no crypto. I'm mid 30s so right generation for it...but....

I don't put money into it for the same real I don't put money into gold. It's not a productive asset. I can't get my head around why people put money into non-productive assets though I'm still searching for a good argument.

No. It is a confiscatory tax on idiocy.

It's really the dollar that is a confiscatory tax on idiocy. Real assets are the solution to the dollar's perpetual devaluation. You may not agree, but the people who make the rules consider Bitcoin to be digital gold. Probably a good idea to get some while the market cap is still 10% of gold. In 10 years all the major central banks will have swapped some gold for Bitcoin.

Each bit coin is awarded for finding a solution to a very complicated math problem, which has no association with the physical world. Nothing more.

Some unknown entity decided these solutions have value, and the sheep followed this line of thinking.

Late 30s, 1.5m. No bitcoin. I don’t see the appeal over the stock market. It’s just too risky for us.

Age 48, $3M invested in stock market + 2 bitcoins. I invested systematically a few years ago and then stopped. Won’t add more but won’t ever sell. It’s fun to have a little skin in the game.

I have Bitcoin, Solana, Tesla, and the fast moving proxies. I'm 47.
Had I not used $30k and gone all out, I'd still be working. My kids are set also.
If I had been able to get my education and decent job at 24, I'd still be working my corporate job and maxing out 401k.
