Hahahahaha. Another sucker. |
| What she's done is squeeze out the middle. We now have higher income folks who live in SFHs and the new glossy apartments like CIty Ridge and we have voucher holders. The apartments where families with fewer resouces used to live have either been redeveloped or inundated with voucher holders. That's the reality in Ward 3. |
Eliminating single family home zoning in Ward 3 would address the “missing middle.” |
What meeting was that, PP? Is there a Zoom link? What did he propose as a solution? |
Isn’t City Ridge required to have to affordable housing? |
And to the Connecticut corridor being the fastest growing crime area in all of DC. |
He doesn’t have a solution. He’s the wrong man at the worst time for this position. He just wanted to be liked and enjoy his career capper. We needed someone who was younger and willing to speak truth t power in the Wilson Building. That aint Frumin. |
Says who? This seems to be hyperbole. |
I moved to Ward 3 WOTP from Ward 2 EOTP for a better and safer neighborhood. I see nothing wrong with wanting that. Now the neighborhood is not living up to the reasons why I move here, so I have to think about the next move. People want to live in safe places. How about making the rest of DC safer rather than trying to make the safe part less safe as some sort of exercise in equity? |
It has nothing to do with age. Nadeau and Allen are on the younger side of the DC Council but they are responsible for some of the misguided laws that aided and abetted the DC crime explosion. |
It does have to do with his age. He’s low energy and not up for this fight. He thinks he can “nice” his way to a solution on the Council. They are going to continue to screw W3 with more vouchers. And just wait for the school boundary revision. |
| Bowser’s seriously misguided voucher program has added much fuel to the crime spike west of Rock Creek Park. But unlike some other DC local politicos, at least Bowser acknowledges a big crime problem in Washington and has offered some modest proposals to address it. Some other DC office holders want to cover their eyes and ears and act like it’s still the spring of 2020. They are in La-La Land. Oh wait, crime rates are starting to go down in LA as in most other US cities. But not in DC, where crime is getting worse and worse. |
This is the crime version of the achievement gap problem in our schools. Post-Fenty the solution has been to drag the top down. They do this because it is easy and they are very stupid people who are incapable of solving the difficult problems. And they have marks like the voters in this town who swallow it. |
Year-to-date Ward 3 is up 48 percent. https://crimecards.dc.gov/all:crimes/all:weap...0to%20date/in:Ward:3 See below for the Connecticut Ave corridor: Year-to-date total crime in ANC 3C (Cleveland Park) has more than doubled (i.e. up more than 100 percent). https://crimecards.dc.gov/all:crimes/all:weap...0to%20date/in:ANC:3C Year-to-date total crime in ANC 3F (Forest Hills) is up 55 percent over last year. https://crimecards.dc.gov/all:crimes/all:weap...0to%20date/in:ANC:3F |
What’s with the ageism? You can be low energy at any age. |
