Pride high school is a joke. Even the middle school programs are losing kids now. The ship is sinking.
How many of the current Capital recruits learned to play at Pride?

UNC
Michigan
Notre Dame
Duke
Duke

Hopkins and Vanderbilt as well?

You’re really going back to elementary school for this ridiculous discussion. You’re really doing it.

Is it possible to just go, yeah- amazing job girls. The commitment and dedication to even be at this level is so impressive. Being a committed D1 athlete, top 20 or top 100, is an honor very few girls get. And regardless of top 20 lax or not, they all need to get jobs. I am embarrassed as a parent and an adult that a young woman who has worked her butt off to get an offer to…let’s say Clemson, saw that adults had an opinion on her academic and lacrosse choice. I mean, it’s not a”good school”. Shame on you. And yes, the girls look at this site esp during lax season when parents do nothing but talk crap about their school, coach and sometimes players.

And for the record, Ivy's give plenty of $ to athletes. Yes, not athletic, but the academic money is there and you don’t have to have opened a school in Rwanda and have a 5.0GPA. So, money does flow.

Ivies do not offer athletic or academic money as a lure to recruit athletes. It is expressly prohibited per Ivy League rules. If they do they are violating the rules. Only merit money is offered if family income is below a specified threshold.

Who cares?!!!!! Nobody is taking that away from them. They should have never entered the high school market if they weren’t ready for the criticism. This was their choice, not the other way around.

Why so angry?

I think Potomac has an incredibly talented 25 class. Their recruits are impressive and an Outstanding goalie. Not sure what they have for 2024, but have some good 26 and 27 players. They lost a very good 2023 midfielder to graduation.

Visi has 3 really great field players who are 24, 25 and 26 players respectively. And their goalie is outstanding. Coaching has been discussed extensively and there seem to have some very active Dad coaches from the sidelines which is never helpful. They also lost a bunch of 2023 defenders to graduation and a 2025 defender who transferred to Potomac. Parent influence is an issue.

SR seems to have great depth in all 24, 25, 26 and 27 classes with multiple current and future D1 recruits and very good coaching. Very good goalie depth. .

Saints has great HOF coaching with KJ, BL and DW and especially great talent in the 2026 class but also solid D1 recruits in 24 and 25. They always recruit new players and great depth at all levels.

Not sure how anyone can say Potomac is the favorite or why we shouldn’t sleep on Visi. But hey it is way early. Seems to be a SR and Saints contest in the ISL.
