In my hierarchy of reliable sources, Niche ranks just above some random old guy yelling.

38th. Behind O'Connell. Wow.

I think the Niche rankings are an excellent test of basic observation and analysis skills. No one thinks BIM, which most of you have never heard of and will now have to google, is the very best school in the area. Visi is not 38 spots below, the rankings are a joke.

Nice off the rails thread about whether they have a coach yet

Seriously. Some special character responded to a sincere question from an applicant family with the silly Niche rankings, and all hell broke loose.

Visi is a great school; have heard awesome things from alums and current families about college prep, experience, etc. Competing at the top level of local HS in lacrosse is also a factor for us, though, so tracking this situation closely.

We have not heard anything about it (to include Bucky's resignation) but DD is a Freshman. Maybe a note went out to upperclass parents? There were a few summer workouts which DD couldn't make, and Bucky was then listed as the Coach.

Upperclass parent here - we have heard nothing beyond the initial email saying Bucky was out.

My daughters team (plays Visi) starts unofficial practices next week. Stinks if Visi is delaying practices because they don’t have a coach.

The issues with Visi lax is indicative of larger problems at the school. Truth is these days Stone Ridge is a better school with a better lax program if you want a Catholic education for your daughter.

Please elaborate on the "larger problems" at Visi. Would be news to me as I am a Visi parent and have nothing but good things to say.

They should go back to KMG, apologize for the way she was treated, get rid of the family(ies) who didn't support her, offer her a raise, and try to get back to normal. She is committed and passionate, knows how to develop players, knows how to get them recruited, and most of all, knows how to win.
