“Donald Trump rounded off a day of relentlessly posting about E. Jean Carroll on Thursday by sharing the same message about her 30 times, for some reason.
After a Wednesday court ruling rejecting his most recent effort to delay a trial for defaming Carroll, the former president went on the offensive in a day-long, repetitive tirade against her on his Truth Social platform. As well as sharing links to conservative outlets criticizing Carroll and posts from her social media accounts, Trump seemingly settled, eventually, on what he wanted to say, and set about saying it over and over again.“ https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-mind-melts-down-in-bizarre-e-jean-carroll-posting-blitz This is an unstable pervert unwinding in front of us. |
Yep, he's physically and mentally deteriorating fast. MAGA can go ahead and try to elect him, but he's not making it through a full-term. He's on his last legs. |
He’s literally one stroke away from total disability. |
Tacapino withdrawing. Wonder why?

And, clearly, Mr. Trump steaks is always one heart attack away from death. He hasn't exactly watched his health. |
Everybody has a breaking point, surely, and for Trump’s lawyers, that’s the point past which they feel they become complicit in crimes, I would guess. I’m just spitballing here though. |
Trump's lawyer's opening argument in E. Jean Carroll's second defamation case: "She has gained more fame, more notoriety than she could have ever dreamed of. ... She doesn’t want to fix her reputation, ladies and gentlemen. She likes her new brand.”
Per Popehat: "This is the kind of argument that, when it doesn’t work, doesn’t work in a very big way." (Keep in mind that the prior jury's factual determinations govern - the only thing at issue in this trial are the amount of damages.) |
Alina Habba is really bad at this.

“"What's the objection?" the judge asked. "I don't know what she's talking about," Carroll's lawyer answered. "Neither do I," the judge responded.” The list in that article gave me a chuckle. I suppose it’s easy to be that bad if you have no shame. I think most of us would be humiliated to be exposed as someone so stupid, but this is obviously irrelevant to anyone willingly doing Trump’s bidding in 2024. |
The chilling thing for me about Trump continuing to use Alina Habba as a trial attorney, something she is not experienced enough to serve as, is that it gives us insight into what he bases his hiring decisions on: 100% loyalty (and some good looks and cleavage thrown in for good measure if the employee is a woman). Even when it is clearly not in his best interest to work with a certain person, he continues to do so because...THEIR complete loyalty (mind you, he never has to be loyal himself). That does not bode well for us if he gets a second term. Normal people will not want to be part of his administration, and he will just hire people that will say yes to everything he wants, no matter how crazy. It will be a the-Emperor-has-no-clothes scenario--even more so than his first term. |
There was a time where I wouldn't believe Republicans would rally around a candidate who was on his second trial for defaming his rape victim, but here we are. |
