It’s a drinking game! Every time your pet gets in the way, or every time you misplace your scissors, tape, or gift tags/pen, take a drink! |
My nephew is like this. Swears he "needs his coffee in the morning." He's 14. Assembles a coffee every morning that I was with him and really just walks around with it and leaves it all over the house until he finally throws away a full cup of coffee later. It's bizarre. |
| To accomodate early afternoon football game we went to a movie at 11a this morning. There is nothing in the house to eat for lunch and mom expects my teens (and husband) to wait until 4:30p to eat (she and my dad only eat two meals a day). No lunch. We stopped for take out on the way home from the movie. Now I'm getting the side eye from mom because I won't follow her plan. I told her she can serve dinner at 4:30p, but, now she is worried we won't eat enough and she'll have too much food left over. I can not deal with her old lady rigidity regarding food and meal times. Vent done. |
Haven't headed to my in-laws yet, but this sounds like our family. My sister-in-law can not tell her kids to go play. She literally will stop an entire adult conversation so my 4 year old niece can show me her stuffed animal and tell me its name. |
+ a million just be glad you don’t know them in real life |
Its being tired. It's not fear. And the prior circumstance (in the midst of discussing death, DNRs, etc), there may not be any spoons left. |
This forum is not just comprised of 20 and 30 year olds you know. I’m in my 40’s and going through early menopause if you must know. |
| We are the petty vent this year. We brought the 2 dogs to my in-laws’ house, which my husband swears his parents love, but I am not convinced. I suggested boarding this year but was overruled. The corgi just spent 5 minutes with zoomies because our nephew’s girlfriend came over and he had to show off for a new person. I think my MIL will be so happy if I can talk my husband into boarding the dogs next time we visit. |
GAFB, get off DCUM if you can't handle hearing about something that impacts every woman at some point, you troll |
This is what I come here to read. Legit. |
Lol, the neighbor is thinking "crap, I don't want these things either." |
This is a petty vent from last year but I got some poinsettias and my cats who hadn't paid any attention to plants before that went after them. Once I Googled and realized they were poisonous to cats I tried to give them away through a couple of Facebook groups. I specifically said I wanted to give them away because my cats were trying to eat them. I got all these replies and was thinking, wow, that was a breeze. Nope. All those jackwads were replying to tell me that poinsettias are toxic to cats. I finally deleted the posts and threw them in the trash. |
If this is the only strange thing she does I can behind it. |
Are you a vampire? |
Which is why we are team mom. Op knows she messed up and won't provide details because she knows. |
