Probably because they are much easier to put up than a lot of lights. I don't particularly like or dislike them, they just seem wasteful. |
+1. It makes me smile when I’m out walking the dog. It’s just fun. |
| Agree but think it is funny. 😄 |
God. Why do people talk like this? it's so abhorrent. You can't just say "My children and I love them?" like a semi-educated person? |
| Agree, but at this point, who cares? If it brings someone even an ounce of joy, who am I to judge. |
AMEN |
I assumed this person was making a joke about the kind of person who loves tacky inflatable yard decor. I think there is overlap between the grown women who talk like wittle babies and the people who obliviously order pounds of plastic garbage from Amazon for every single holiday because "the littles just love it!" At least this is true in our neighborhood. |
| Definitely tacky, unimaginative, lame, junky |
| Tacky on my lawn, but wonderful on yours! More holiday, more better! We all need many light and inflatables this season! 🐸 |
It's wasteful. Also, I think maybe it's worthwhile to look inward and ask why looking at plastic trash shipped from China in people's yards brings you joy. It's probably the same reason playing dumb games on your phone or endlessly scrolling TikTok "brings joy." The phrase "opiate of the masses" comes to mind. Maybe if we gave up all this mind-numbing entertainment, we'd wake up and make some better choices for our country, society, and children's future. Like what if there wasn't any plastic garbage in your yard but college was affordable and everyone had access to healthcare? Would that bring you you more or less joy than the current situation? |
| It says hi I’m white trash |
| Getting paid while mandating others work for no pay is tacky. If the inflatables bring joy to someone’s life, that is a good thing. |
Why do people use the name of the Lord in vain? It's insensitive and disrespectful to those of us who are religious. |
People are not trash. |
