Yes, we know. You keep making the same point over and over. |
Enough about China for crying out loud. You’re a broken record. We’re talking about US constitution, Florida laws. Start another thread about YS businesses doing business in China if it interests you so much. |
He is a fascist Because 1) He won by .4% and acts as if he has a clear majority to act like a bull in a China shop; 2) he is silencing legitimate opposition to his absurdly self righteous culture wars bill forbidding rational discussion of gender and sexuality issues in classrooms by moving to revoke Disney’s self governing status. He knows this won’t stand legal challenges since Disney is the biggest employer in the state and the complex private public partnership serves Florida well. But it will silence them during the midterm elections before legal challenges can be completed. 3) He blocked local jurisdictions from deciding for themselves about vaccine and mask mandates during a pandemic; 4) He politicized science and medicine during a Pandemic for his own political purposes of gaining national prominence. Children, teachers, and bus drivers died at much higher rates in Florida as he enforced his political theater. 5) He continues to support Trump even after the Jan 6 violent insurrection because he wants to benefit from MAGA votes. |
What does that have to do with the first amendment?! |
And people with entrepreneurial spirit and strong business sense will hide in the shadows because the best way to get yourself killed in a fascist, authoritarian state is to be noticed. This will dive GDP and GDP per capita down down down. |
Yes exactly - intellectuals, creatives and entrepreneurs will live diminished lives in order to survive … in a fascist state … |
Who wudda thunk it? Politics trumping truth and reality? Gov. Ron DeSantis Doesn’t Always Tell the Full COVID Story Health experts say that some of the statements the Florida governor makes about COVID-19 and its vaccines are, sometimes, entirely incorrect, which contributes to the growing number of COVID infections and deaths. Feb. 11, 2022 • DeSantis’ statements about vaccine effectiveness and safety, antibody treatments and the power of natural immunity are cloudy in some cases and absolutely wrong in others, say epidemiologists and other experts interviewed by the Orlando Sentinel. Mac Stipanovich, a Tallahassee consultant and former anti-Trump Republican turned independent, said DeSantis’ motivation is political. The Republican governor is courting anti-vax members of his party in advance of the 2024 GOP primary for president, he said. “They stress two things out of the three things they could stress,” Stipanovich said of the DeSantis administration. “They stress therapeutics, which is treatment after infection, then they stress natural immunity after infection, and the only thing they don’t stress is vaccination before infection. And it’s all part of a message that is heard, if not explicit.” https://www.governing.com/now/gov-ron-desantis-doesnt-always-tell-the-full-covid-story |

God help us. |
😂😂😂 So relaxing for tourists to chill on the Beltway and Rockville Pike (Anywhere USA Drive) with picturesque views of the metro rail and metro purple line under construction. They could even doordash Chipotle to make the experience truly unique. |
| Weather wise, it's not the best but doesn't Disney still own land somewhere nearby? I thought decades ago they had a master plan to build some type of park here but they were turned down. |
Why would Disney block this? Is it bad for Disney? |
I think it's hilarious that a R is curtailing free speech by a private company and being business un-friendly. |
