See above. There was an answer. I was merely clarifying that a person doing an essential but low paid job is not trashy. We are lol less trashy when we value the time and work of others as well as ourselves. There is tons of evidence of the value to employers, workers, the economy and societies when living wages are in place. I will be happy to start a new thread but the response was actually extremely relevant to the topic. However apologies to OP if it feels like I hijacked a rather entertaining thread. |
NP. No there isn’t. Only the “impact” without saying who pays. |
Your “brief response” was under the guise of telling someone they are not trashy for their job. |
NP. So just to clarify, you are against paying people a living wage? |
So just to clarify, you did intend to hijack the forum for your agenda? |
Do you need someone to explain to you what “NP” means? |
| I play the lottery weekly with the full expectation that I will win. |
Do you need someone to explain to you what hijacking means? |
No one said on here said people shouldn’t have a living wage. No one anywhere would say that. Nice try on trying to twist it into what it’s not about. |
You have the answer that was asked? |
.....ok? |

I used to buy my then-toddlers cheap sneakers and cute flats from Payless. They each had a huge shoe collection.
My Jessica Simpson brand jean jacket purchased at Ross is a wardrobe staple. I still love hand-me-downs; my sister, mom and female cousins and I constantly swap/mail clothing items to each other with the promise to “keep/wear/enjoy/pass along to someone else/donate/do not return.” I am obsessed with creating a thrift store wardrobe. I am very well-dressed! I get gift cards to CVS as gifts. My family knows I love a great CVS shopping spree. |
| Living wage topic that arose from telling low paid, essential worker they are not trashy has been moved to political forum. Apologies to OP. |
I’m bumping my question because it wasn’t sarcastic. I’d actually like the answer. |
You just did it again. |
