Did kids actually unmask?

I was responding to this: "I'm not surprised white ppl don't care if they spread disease and make other people sick."

Personal responsibility and risk assessment is key here. I have fulfilled my responsibility to society by vaccinating my family. Because of that fact, we are done masking. If you haven't fulfilled your responsibility to society by getting vaccinated, go ahead and mask, or don't, I don't care. But if I transmit a virus to you that you could have easily protected yourself from, that's on you.

I’m quadruple vaxxed. I still don’t want your Covid from you nor your children. Nasty colonizer.

Are you the same teacher who frequented the open dc schools Facebook group telling them that schools can’t open until we overthrow capitalism? Just curious.

That teacher also thought that kids should mask forever because they are nasty disease vectors in the best of times.

Oh don’t forget the disgusting anti-semitism to a Jewish group member. Really don’t understand why she wasn’t kicked out of the group for that! I’m still pissed about it actually, maybe I should send screenshots to a reporter.

I really don’t understand why she’s still in the group. It’s a group about opening schools of which she was not supportive of.

Ms. S, you really should take your racist ways to another forum.

An examples of her thoughts:
“White tears 100% organic” picture with her comment saying “ A bi$&@ had me fu$&ed up for a second. Vaccinated and reading you hoes. Still got my mask on too”

You are actually right. I no longer care if me (vaccinated) or my children (vaccinated) spread asymptomatic COVID to someone who has chosen, despite billions of federal dollars spent convincing them to protect themselves, not to get vaccinated. As for children under 5, they are among the lowest risk in the world, vaccinated or not.

Well, yes, you don't care about others' health, and you don't care to acknowledge that your and others' healths are at risk of illness and injury from covid even if vaccinated and boosted. We hear you, it's been a long two years and you're done. Let's also acknowledge that you only live once, so I understand that you'd rather show your mouth and smell others' breath while you can and possibly experience the limits of functionality of some of your organs, and maybe even have a taste of long-covid. Enjoy your long-covid, could be quite a trip.

Heh. I don't think it's delusional to believe that the PP tired of masking is absolutely going to get covid at least once in the next few months, nor is it delusional to bring up the 10% risk of long-covid associated with covid while vaccinated (yay, down from 20% unvaccinated) in scientific literature and generally accepted as fact, except within DCUM.
Not vindictive either, since I'm not wishing it on them, just fatalistically pointing out the odds.
You may often express what you wish were scientific facts. Don't project that onto the rest of us. We don't.

NP. Please cite links to actual studies (not a Twitter thread), quality studies with control groups, if you want to maintain that your fears are based on scientific data. Please also be aware that “the science” on this is very much evolving and far from settled, so your claim to be in possession of “scientific fact” and that your numbers are widely accepted makes you sound scientifically illiterate.

I totally agree with you that the PP, just like everybody else, will eventually catch Covid, probably multiple times over our lifetimes. You will have to place much tougher restrictions than wearing a mask on your own life in order to avoid this, and then you will probably still only delay it. Everybody has to figure out for themselves whether that is worth it or not in the long run.

So I still think writing ‘enjoy your long Covid’ is vindictive. But you clearly have a lot going on and a lot to deal with so I’m going to leave it at that. I’m glad I don’t have your view on life as you seem to derive pleasure from the suffering of others.

Yeah, you're projecting hard there, with the pleasure thing. Gaslighting too, with the "a lot going on and a lot to deal with". Quite a lot going on with your reply! I know, it's terribly uncomfortable to accept that covid is not over, and that covid is dangerous, even to us fully-vaccinated and healthy individuals, so you focus on....me, instead. Also, no, I am not Laura Fuchs or a DCPS teacher and you guys are weird.

I hope not. With that level of anxiety over Long Covid, the classroom has never been a place for her. Not only because of Covid, but all the other viruses that kids can carry, which can also cause post-viral syndrome...

I wasn’t projecting, I don’t know who Laura Fuchs is and Covid doesn’t make me uncomfortable in the least. I don’t mask anymore and don’t care if others do or don’t. If that makes me weird in the DMV that’s fine with me. I’m too old to care what others think about me.
