Oh well, I guess only those who have studied in Brown’s prestigious 44th-ranked Statistics department can truly understand those numbers.

But the #4 Applied Math students understand them perfectly.

They understand that with 1,000 US universities awarding graduate degrees, being #44 is in the top half of the top 1%.

Okay, this made me laugh out loud. Well played.

It was my dream school so this makes me sad. It’s also very close to our home so wish one of my kids had wanted to go there.

They just can't keep up financially. Sad at this point.

I fixed your post for you, your calculation was off by a factor of 10. Did you study math at Brown?

I would throw ECPI University in there as well.

This made me spit my coffee out. My family's joke when I applied to college was that I could always go to Barbizon Beauty Academy or Apex Tech. Apex being more desirable because you got a free set of tools when you graduate.

(this may be understandable to those of us who grew up in the Tri-state area)

Oh look, two bitter PPs who can't afford private tuition. Which public degree mills did you and your children attend?

Are you sad to see Georgetown slipping into irrelevance? Maybe you should donate more so they can afford to maintain their facilities

UChicago. Its application numbers fell flat last year, growing by less than 10%, while all other peer schools saw a 30%-50% increase in application numbers.

DP My family and I graduated from colleges quite a bit more selective than Georgetown and one of the lessons we’ve all managed to learn is to be civil.
