No, B6 is not the same as progesterone suppositories. B6 is a natural way to boost your progesterone (it's thought) and can help your body develop a nice, thick, uterine lining during your luteal phase. It faciliates the preparation of your uterus for implantation. B6 also has other advantages such as reducing PMS symptoms, and when you're pregnant, it can help minimize morning sickness. There is no guarantee that B6 will boost your progesterone sufficiently though, and depending on your circumstances, you may still have low progesterone and shorter luteal phases.
Progesterone suppositories deliver progesterone to your body directly in lieu of your body producing it for itself during your lutueal phase and early pregnancy. If you have been advised to take progesterone by your RE / OB do NOT subsitute B6 for progesterone. Not the same thing.
