Awful. Two more weeks of low temps with only a day or two above freezing. It may very well be March before we see games.

Yikes! 'Spring' season for soccer makes little sense in this region since so much of it is actually in the winter and at the mercy of frequent weather disruptions.

It’s frustrating for the kids and frankly the biggest waste of money ever.

Are you saying you voluntarily waste your money every year. Why would you do that?

At recruiting, not developing

Both BSC and VDA are very good at developing. Truth.

it’s the same thing every season with u19 soccer in MD. why would you want to play fall matches when the season is primarily spring and they play HS in the Fall? sorry I don’t understand the gripe there.

BSC discourages kids from playing up regardless of their talent and size

BSC discourages kids from playing up regardless of their talent and size

Probably driven by parental and player jealousy and wanting to avoid the drama

That's tricky, playing up might be better for a younger player but that kid is taking the spot/time of another player in that age group.

If they're playing up, it's their spot and time

They're not guesting

Favorites? Do you mean the players that developed into the best on the team? Do the player not go through the same practice, drills, scrimmages? Does entire team finish sprints at same time or is there a clear winner? Coaches instruct and players develop at different rates and to different levels. Kids should compete and give their best, to be their best. Cream rises and everyone can’t be top third of team.

Relax. The boys NA start in late Feb or early march. There's plenty of time for a season.

Tell that to the last kid cut from the top team, the club doesn't know what 10 year old will be in the top 5 in five years.
