It's not pro-Hamas, and it's not shameful, it's perfectly appropriate.

Ok, go take part in this protest, and see what the immediate and near-term results are. Go for it.

But it would be better to think things through. What is this protest going to accomplish? You are going to go express yourself? Why would that change anyone's heart and mind? Yes, I know you think it should, but will it? Again, think this through, to what will probably happen, not to what you want to happen.

Ok. I bet some Jews will be taking part in the protest, too.

Its not shameful it’s 100% appropriate. For some reason the obvious correlation for what is happening in Gaza to the thousands of innocent people (so far) doesnt illicit the obvious paralells to what happened in Nazi Germany.

It was a topic at my xmas dinner with my Boomer parents last night. (Btw it was a 100% consensus of 14 dinner guests that Israel has lost the plot and is commiting a genocide).

I hope it steps up public pressure on the Biden Administration to take a leadership role in negotiating a ceasefire, linking aid to Israel and Gaza to adhering to such a ceasefire, and linking aid to Israel to being to dismantle West Bank settlements and lifting of various embargoes on Gaza (such as the ridiculous one that bans surfboards).

The symbolism of this protest against genocide at the Holocaust Museum highlights how Israel has lost the moral high ground. The Holocaust was unmentionably horrific and “never again” should mean “never again” for any people.

There needs to be a fresh look.

What Israel is doing now makes the world less safe for Jews and is raising up the next generation of terrorists.

Can we at least all agree how each attack and counter attack has become worse and worse each round? I shudder to think what the Palestinian response will be after the dust settled on this round of IDF horrors.

The protesters are not going to convince anyone that what is happening in Gaza compares to the Holocaust by staging a protest in the Holocaust musuem. The whole point of the protest is to show that the protestors are "tired" of talking about the Holocaust, they have had to bear that burden for too long and they are done.

No a protest at the Holocaust Musuem shows that you hate Jews, it is disrespectful act that you can only engage in toward a people you hate. You can dislike what a country is doing and not hate it or the people in it or the people para-affiliated with it. We in the U.S. do not have great relations with Russia or China, but most Americans do not hate Russian or Chinese people, we do not call them names in the internet, or seek to belittle their people's tragedies.

Victim mentality. You say this as you ignore all the Palestinians you are currently exterminating.

What about the statement screams "victim"? That name-call doesn't make any sense.
You can be sad about what is going in a war and hate a group of people at the same time. You hate Jews.
The U.S. was at war with Afghanistan but I never expressed hate for the people of the country or never felt it, or called the stupid, egotistical, selfish, evil, etc, on the internet.

Interesting how limousine liberals are supporting those that will lock up LGBTQ members and stone them to death. I fail to see the logic of whom they choose to support.

You don’t think Israel would launch a cruise missile to that ship or bomb the plane and claim Hamas was hiding with refugees? They already bombed the Rafah crossing in Egypt and refugee camps in Southern Gaza many times. They told people to leave their homes in North Gaza and flee to the South only to bomb the South also

These are two angry , toxic , senseless governments that are holding the majority of sensible people in their respective populations hostage

They could fly out of Egypt. Jordan and Israel and Egypt and Israel have normal diplomatic ties since 1973. Egypt will not allow Gazans in because they are 1. afraid that Hamas, or IJ, or any other faction sneaks in 2. Egypt saw what happened to Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon and Syria who let Palestinians in 3. They ad Gaza as part of Egypt territory until 1973 and for the 2 above reasons they don’t want it back .

That’s not true. Current Egypt likes Hamas but also likes Israel but doesn’t trust either but due to circumstances is forced to work frequently with both . Sisi’s government was at the brink of collapse before even launching thanks to ISIS in the Sinai destroying tourism but Hamas and Israel and Egypt all worked together collectively in 2014/2015 to stop that. Imagine that.

You are referencing the PLO in the 70s and their push for democratic socialism/communism /“liberation” in all their host countries as well as pushing the Arab massive to force Arab leaders hands to try to collectively invade Israel as an Arab collective.

You can’t force an Arab leaders hands especially as an outsider.

Hamas is the opposition to the PLO and they don’t want all Arabs to invade Israel. They want to do it themselves and that’s what makes them so dangerous. They don’t share their plans with anyone even among most Palestinians. Most people of other countries have an idea when their leaders plan to go to war. They could’ve at least informed Palestinians to escape and make a run for it but nope. They are as stealthy and mysterious and dangerous as the tunnels they smuggle weapons with-the total opposite of the blabbermouth and scatterbrained PLO.

They don’t give a shit about meddling in other Arab or Iranian affairs or getting rid of other Arab oppressive governments or spreading global Jihad. Ehud Barak was right. The PLO was the correct pony for Israel to bet on but Bibi did the wrong thing.

Israeli security chiefs kept warning him about how dangerous Hamas was

Bibi and Likud are right wing extremists. He played the Hamas card to keep Palestinians divided. The Palestinian Authority is weak and deeply corrupt. Hamas are Islamic extremists. Divided they are nothing.

But then internal Israeli politics took over. National security suffered. They became complacent. And Hamas took advantage and invaded Israel.

Absolutely breathtaking incompetence on part of the Israelis.

But after the attacks, Israelis became more right wing then ever. Might not help Netanyahu. People do blame him. But the Hamas attacks were a gift to the Israeli right wing.

The Israeli right wing wants an expanded war to take Lebanon. They are not going to keep Israel safe. Nobody in Israel wants their sons to go fight in freaking Lebanon , Gaza, and the West Bank.

Unfortunately, Bibi either knowingly or unknowingly ensured taking down Hamas would be near impossible for Israel. It’s not that Hamas is too strong. It’s that they are well hidden.

Which means Israel can only kill civilians and hope Hamas is there with them and their justification is that on 10/7 , Israeli civilians were killed mercilessly so there’s nothing wrong with teaching them a lesson also by killing more civilians in Gaza. The problem is it doesn’t teach the lesson they think. The Palestinian appetite to fight/avenge against Israel will only increase because people will feel they have nothing to lose with dying if their whole families are dead anyway. All these years together side by side and they don’t know how Palestinians think?
