Giant (the grocery store) Cake Serving Sizes

| We're having a party and expecting 35. Giant's advertises that their half sheet feeds 25-35. Does anyone know if those are normal size pieces? I'm really torn on whether I need to go up to a full sheet (which would feed double, obviously). I'm worried we won't have enough with the half sheet but a full seems excessive. WWYD? |

| What age and how many kids versus adults? I rounded up for my 3 year olds party, but only maybe 4 of the adults had cake so we had half a cake leftover. |

| I would get the full sheet. When we have left over cake, I take it to work the next day or ask the guest to take some home. |

| 10 kids and 25 adults. The adults are all friends though so I don't anticipate that awkward not sure if I should eat since the party is for a kid thing... I'd say at least 1/4 of the adults are big eaters. |

Half. Give the kids smaller pieces than you would give an adult, and you should be fine. We had a similar-size party and threw out a lot of cake (sob!) because not all the adults wanted cake. Of course, I always want a big slab myself, but that's just me.

We JUST had a party on Saturday with 12 kids and 20 adults. We purchased the half sheet cake and even cutting normal sizes and begging people to take some home, we still had about 1/4 left over.
Go with the HALF. |

| I'd also go with the half. I think they estimate pretty large pieces of cake when they tell you the servings. |

| Hi, similar question. Expected 25 kids and not sure how many adults but definitely 5 family members.. Of course want to have enough to serve them if they want cake. Half sheet or full cake. |

we did a 1/4 cake, cut small pieces (kids also got ice cream), and had 2-3 leftover pieces which we threw away.
Had about 20 kids and 20 adults there -kids each got a piece, most adults didn't want any. |

| A full sheet cake is like, comically huge. Just get the half and cut the pieces small if you're worried about it being enough. If you have 25 adults, I'm assuming you're going to have regular food available first. Some adults may be too full for cake. |
