Giant (the grocery store) Cake Serving Sizes

We had about 35 people at my DD’s last bday party and got a half sheet from a different grocery store and it was plenty.

Pp here - I just remembered I made a note on my calendar for this coming year and checked it. I wrote “reminder - half sheet for party (17 kids 12 adults) was plenty. Quarter sheet would have been fine”

I’d say half, but you can also ask the bakery what they would recommend. I did this when debating between a full and half sheet and they steered me towards a half. We had more that enough cake for 40 people.

In general, I think it actually serves close to double the recommended number. You are completely safe with the half sheet.
