| You were able to bridge the generation gap, will miss your music, hope others build on your genre and carry Go-Go forward. |
| Liked his music. |
| RIP. Wind me up, Chuck!!!!!! |
|
Yup. RIP. He was epitome of cool.
Wish more people around the country knew about the cool side of DC, rather than the stodgy side of Washington. That's how I think about this city: Washington... stodgy. DC... cool. |
so sad - I missed this somehow and posted the same (it was me). I was just jamming out to him like a week ago on 93.9 in their go-go mix.
|
| I'm not from here, but my kid is. I grooved out to Bustin' Loose when I was in labor. Gonna make sure kiddo knows this part of dc history. |
| A great loss for DC but the joy of his music will live on. As a teen, I remember seeing him at one of the Back to School go-gos at the old Cap Center. I later learned just how versatile a musician he was and very personable and kind everytime I saw him out and about. |

And Howard Theater just opened...Man! I would've loved to have heard him play there. |
| RIP. Solid groove. |
| I was in a meeting when it was announced. All of the black people gasped and all of the white people said, "who's chuck brown." |
Yuck. There's such a thing as being too white. And I am white. |

One of his newer songs, with Thievery Corporation. Been listening to this a lot recently. Love the video too.

This would be funny, if it were true. |
Mitt Romney Rick Santorum Newt Gingrich I'm pretty sure none of them know who Chuck Brown is. Well, maybe Newt. Bill Clinton definitely does. |
