Translation: They're making money. A lot of it.
The Podcast That Made $17m in 72 Hours https://onaudio.mattdeegan.com/p/the-podcast-that-made-17m-in-72-hours |
Since their stated goal is to make a lot of money, more power to them! Neither seems particularly close to their extended families (other than Megan's mom), so they have lots of time to pursue their goals. |
You’re probably the only one since it is being released through barnes and noble’s self-publishing imprint. Aka actual publishers didn’t think it would make money. |
Aww, no one wanted to hear about her grifting on her sister while she whines about her husband punching her on the toilet? Sad. |
They will need a lot of money to sustain the royal life (houses, security, private planes) without the support of the British public. They better cash in while people still care. |
PP here. I don't disagree, although they appear to be highly motivated to make money. |
Well, $100 million from Netflix and $40 million from Spotify is a good start. I wonder what's next. What does People know that we don't? |
They can always sell a picture of Archie (especially a photo of him doing something super cute like a Spring time picture of him picking up an Easter egg or a happy birthday photo or the like).
Instant cash cow right there. |
` +1 ^^ Yep. $17m is a ton of money for us plebes, but when you're Harry and MM that isn't as much as it seems given your lifestyle/PR rep(s) for EACH of them/nannies/transportation/security, etc. And all that money needs to cover them for years and years to come bc income isn't neccessarily a guarantee. |
Who believes these fake numbers? Who do you think leaks this crap? Their pr team.
We already saw how easy it is to get FAKE NEWS published with the Hillary Baldwin deceit. They are not as rich as they claim. They are not paid this much. Markel is a desperate hard-up grifter. |
Production views and rankings don't lie hater. Unless you think all the other Spotify podcasts in the Top 10 for each country are making pennies. |
+1 I have a friend that does a podcast for software engineers, so obviously more niche and with a smaller listenership than Harry and Meghan’s, but he clears $500k+/year. I can’t imagine how much you can make from a more interesting subject. |
Yeah, Spotify would never juice their numbers or use bots. And record companies and book publishers never fake sales either. ![]() |
H+M must have a lot of juice to get production companies to change their stats left-and-right. Strange. |
I think the number is large but definitely they make it look better and use that to parlay. Their Disney movie voice over LOST money. Acting apparently didn’t pay her. She also planted some fake numbers before saying Disney was going to make $100 million with her voice over. |
