How do we feel about Kia Sorrentos?

Fully expect to castrated as to why this would even matter but here’s hoping I get some legit responses….

Our family needs to upgrade to an SUV. I keep seeing commercials for the Kia Sorrento which makes it look awesome…cool features plus I like the body style and the look of it. Plus the monthly payment is crazy cheap.

But…it’s a kia.

Will I be horribly judged for buying a kia? Are they ‘cars for poors’ and will I be made fun of at my law firm behind my back?

We have the Sportage and love it.

Had no idea this was controversial. We did a lot of research - we are a one car family so needed a bit of room for traveling to grandparents and cramming stroller in, two car seats, etc., and found the sportage to be safe, affordable, and have good gas mileage.

OP, you really care THAT much about what people will think about what you drive? Did you ever stop to think that other people might not give a damn? Or that some people think those who spend $50k on a car are idiots?

Consumer Reports gives Kia cars rather good recommendations.

I think they look pretty decent. I wouldn't expect it to last 10 years though. Call it a zero after six years.
