VHSL Boys Lacrosse 2026 Season

Why is there so much Langley talk on here. When they have a good team they choke in the playoffs and many times they are just average.

When was the last time they won or even played in the state championship game? 14 years ago when their current team was in diapers?

Langley 9, Oakton 7
Lake Braddock 9, Alexandria City 5
Robinson 19, South County 1
West Potomac 9, Fairfax 4
West Springfield 15, Woodson 8

Oakton 10 Langley 7
Lake Braddock 11 AC 5
Robo 10 SC 0
WP 8 FFX 3
WS 9 Woodson 7

Oakton by 3 would be a dagger

Oakton 7 Langley 6 Final

Oakton never trailed in this game. Up 4-1 at half. Led by as much as 5 until Langley crawled back in it.

Seems like a clear path to a win. Was the 4-1 based on lots of possession control? FO wins? Some early/costly Langley turnovers?

I can't recall the LaxNumbers ratings from before the game (yes I'm one of the couple of people who find them to be helpful) but right now Langley is 7th in 6a and Oakton is 8th. Not sure this win is the "WOW WHAT AN UPSET" that some people see it as.

Hard to play defense when the offense can’t hold the ball for more than 20 seconds. Majority of games are just like the Pacer test for Langley defense. If Langley wants to do anything they have to learn public school lacrosse does not have a shot clock. Also doesn’t help that their coach calls isos for tired two way middies, as soon as the ball is on the offensive end

Lame. Let’s move on.

Yeah reading scores is literally impossible and useless with them. Like what.

They’re exactly who we’ve been saying they are. They’re in that 7-10 range. Goalie play helps them.

You're still trying to make their goalie a thing on here after they lost to Oakton? If he was as good as you think the they wouldn't be losing to average to below average teams, and giving up 10+ to all of the good ones.

By way of comparison, the Indy goalie (arguably the best in the area) has given up double digits only once all season (to Stonebridge), and the Madison goalie only once also (to STAB, for goodness sake).

3 got the hook against Madison because he wasn’t very good. Langley backup is a good 2nd option.

Langley's goalie is good but not great. Typical reclass profile.

Sounds like a description of Yorktown basketball. They keep churning out those brothers from that one family and can't even win districts.

I don't think it's that people are jealous of Indy. I think it's that people don't like how that team disrespects the game of lacrosse.
I kinda agree with some of the langley talk. I don't think they are done yet.

This is not a new take at all. It has always been the way the team acts, the amount of penalties they take and the kind of penalties they take, just undisciplined all around. Horrible rep amo nah other coaches and refs this is nothing new.

The sad thing is that with actual coaching, they would be even better. Indy doesn't need all the extra nonsense. If they had the Madison or Robinson coaching staff, they would destroy everyone. It's gonna bite them bad come playoff time.

First, boys get back to class. It is very obvious who you are and where you go to school.

Second, a 'team captain" was on here a few days ago and said he handled this, I guess not, and will be dropping a note to several coaching staffs to take a look at what their team(s) are posting and seem to be doing so during school hours.

Third, Indy plays a style of ball, I get it you don't like it, but deal with it. All you have to do is beat them.

Fourth, They played this way last year, the same arguments were made last year and they seem to have won states. If you think this style is unique, go play teams from around the country or Canada. Again, don't like it, show up on the field.

Fifth, until they lose they are ranked #1, get over it.

Sixth, I am not with Indy, or any current HS team, but I do enjoy the game. This is a place for real conversation and we adults would appreciate it if you would see your way out and hit the wall. If you don't like that, see point #2 above and your coach can handle it. Fair warning has been given.

Settle down lady boy.

Indy W 12-9, 9-9 at beginning of fourth, 9-7 (Indy leading) at beginning of third

12-9 Indy F

Back and forth. Battlefield 5-1 end of first, end of half 8-6 Indy, then tied back up 9-9 end of thirdish, then Indy scored a couple to close it up. Good game.

I think everyone here is sleeping on Wakefield, they are waking up with their new coach taking things seriously and are showing they are on the same level as their “big brother” yorktown

No fault to you for having outdated information but you clearly have not seen the Wakefield games this year, their losses are all very close and they have some great wins dogging on some pretty good teams

Good game in Haymarket tonight. Both teams looked talented and composed. Indy transition and crease finishes were pretty tonight. I bet these two play again.

It is the region final for state seeding No other scenario is possible
