Is it though?

My prediction is Battlefield 9, Indy 8

Thinking more in the 13-9 Indy range, but what do I know.

4/22
Langley 9, Oakton 7
Lake Braddock 9, Alexandria City 5

West Potomac 9, Fairfax 4
West Springfield 15, Woodson 8

Oakton 10 Langley 7
Lake Braddock 11 AC 5
Robo 10 SC 0
WP 8 FFX 3
WS 9 Woodson 7

Oakton by 3 would be a dagger

Oakton 7 Langley 6 Final

Oakton never trailed in this game. Up 4-1 at half. Led by as much as 5 until Langley crawled back in it.

Seems like a clear path to a win. Was the 4-1 based on lots of possession control? FO wins? Some early/costly Langley turnovers?

I can't recall the LaxNumbers ratings from before the game (yes I'm one of the couple of people who find them to be helpful) but right now Langley is 7th in 6a and Oakton is 8th. Not sure this win is the "WOW WHAT AN UPSET" that some people see it as.

Not "Wow" but yes an upset, or maybe its just the Langley parents/players that are upset?
Langley controlled the FO, but they just cant score and the D is well, not good.

As the other poster said, control #7 and you control Langley.

5 in a row for the Cavs. Robo and Woodson are the only undefeated teams (3-0) in patriot conference games.

Can Woodson continue to win and challenge Robo in the Patriot?

Nope

Oh they will challenge, right up until the point that they take the field with them, and then that challenge is over

Continue to win? Sure, I guess. Challenge Robo in the Patriot? Not a freaking chance.

I've got Indy 12-4. These two teams will play again eventually... But hey what do I know?

Yeah reading scores is literally impossible and useless with them. Like what.

They’re exactly who we’ve been saying they are. They’re in that 7-10 range. Goalie play helps them.

Gotta love goalie dad.

You're still trying to make their goalie a thing on here after they lost to Oakton? If he was as good as you think the they wouldn't be losing to average to below average teams, and giving up 10+ to all of the good ones.

By way of comparison, the Indy goalie (arguably the best in the area) has given up double digits only once all season (to Stonebridge), and the Madison goalie only once also (to STAB, for goodness sake).

I’m not a goalie dad, not a Langley parent. Watched the game though. Langley’s defense struggled. You give that kid Indy or Madison defense and it’s a different story. Saves, clearing, headwork all looked good.

I will say, it’s impressive how despite all the hype Langley has gotten year in and year out Yorktown still runs the Liberty district

And for the record - I’m the same guy who commented positively on the goalie - I agree. And I’m also not a YT parent either. YT offensively is very good. 3 as a focus is so good at distributing to other weapons. Not sure how they go down the stretch as defenses get better but offensively they’re very good.

Langley's goalie gave up 11 to DeMatha, 12 to Stonebridge, and 9 to Madison in the first game of the season behind a defense starting 2 freshmen, a sophomore, and a 1st year junior. spare me the comparisons to goalie's letting up similar numbers behind veterans defense with college bound players.

You've either never watched him play or you're just trolling at this point. Lets put all the talk about a 5-7 team to rest.

One sure way to identify great players is people needing to make lots of excuses for them.

3 got the hook against Madison because he wasn’t very good. Langley backup is a good 2nd option.
