Ted has poisoned the well with DC and MD fans and has shown his utter incompetence to VA fans.

Montreal is watching this spectacle play out with la jubilation. If they play their cards right, Leonis could take his pride and move the teams to Montreal. It’s a big enough city for two hockey teams. And they badly want an NBA franchise. But they won’t get the Nationals/Expos back unless the mayor and council really screw that up.

Neither league is allowing that to happen.

WaPo is reporting there is another push to bring it to Tysons?! hilarious.

That makes no sense. Don’t Ted and Glenn understand that Virginians don’t want to subsidize this money grab?

So instead of just making it a half hour each way more for most fans, they want to make weeknights completely unreachable and weekend about an hour more each way.

Do they really think STH from Ellicott City are making that trek?

Funny how you think Ellicott City has the population and money to be relevant in this discussion.

It is an example of a location on one end of the metropolitan area where there are season ticket holders where making the trek to somewhere other than Gallery Place becomes untenable. For both Potomac Yards and Tyson's corner, that same is true. They are a lot hard to get to or take a lot longer than a more centrally sited location. This isn't a complicated concept.

I don't want them in NoVa, but for every Ellicott City that you lose you pick up a Fredericksburg or a Lessburg. I don't think the team is sweating it either way.

Don't talk about my home town like that.

Regardless, Ted said no to Fairfax.

I know that is a typo, but it couldn't be more accurate.

I am confident that there are more fans in Maryland than in Fredericksburg or Lessburg. Ted's potential move will result in a loss of fans that will not be offset by whatever he thinks he will gain in VA.

Ted just could not have handled this whole thing any worse than he has.

Hey Ted: sell the teams, doofus. Let a new ownership group with a vision take over the teams and the arena lease.
