I am firmly in the futbol purist, beautiful game camp…and HS is fine. If you are about the futbol, anywhere, anytime, with anybody. |
| Curious to know if any other teams have dropped/merged in ECNL and if there will be any conference restructuring. |
You are here complaining about it. If the ECNL doesn't matter you can move on |
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and obviously have a personal issue with certain coaches. Are you the Arlington hides in trees dad? |
Green = McLean Blue = Brave |
| Folks here forgot they are the consumer and therefore in a free market, you can go anywhere. If you don't like the product, go somewhere where you feel you are getting a better ROI. |
I don't understand your point. If it doesn't matter what platform you play in. Be positive and come up with a plan B if things don't work out |
Not accurate. |
The real problem is their DD or DS is not good enough to go anywhere else. So it is a blaming game instead of accepting that your kid is not a strong player to be select on the team. |

I have two sons. Sophomore and Senior in HS. What a sh*tshow are HS program is. Nepotism, old boys' club, etc. The level of play is absolutely awful. By Jr/Sr year--most of the players have had serious injuries incurred during HS games or as a result of playing HS and Club simultaneously (Fall HS schedule). It is kickball extraordinaire. The time suck at our HS is nuts. 5-6 days per week--often arriving at school at 7am and getting home at 10pm depending on where the other HS is located. Most of the kids recruited at our HS stopped playing HS after sophomore year or never played. With just 1-2 'competitive' games the entire season it's a complete waste of time. Too many of the 'big' sports get all the attention anyways. Nobody cares about soccer at our school. It's not the glory it used to be to play HS, particularly for boys, because the top players aren't playing it anymore--they are in MLSNext or the academies and prohibited. |

Let’s get back to the topic!
There is definitely a coordination prior to the try out at least for the HS girls. The colors doesn’t seem to make sense as the stronger ones are mixed with the less desired ones. There are 3 coaches for each team in which I think it’s just for show so that parents or kids aren’t going to panic. However, at try out , the Head coach makes it known that he is the head coach almost like I’m the new boss in town and you better pay attention to me kind of like a jackass move but that’s another discussion. Still waiting on when are offers or rejections are coming. Need a Plan B if A doesn’t work out and all other ECNL clubs around are already having the ID sessions . I’d be interested on what you all think the next best club/league to look into and why |
1 in 12 men are colorblind. 6 male coaches out there are evaluating talent. You do the math. The pinnie color means nothing. |
Not so in our experience - blue was for top players from both. |
