My keurig has the your own coffee thinga- magigy. Is there a trick to get my coffee strong?
Go back to the expensive cups? Knock twice add 5 times the water?

This is a great question! My mom was just in town visting and was unhappy that my Keurig did not produce strong enough coffee for her. We attempted (without success) to remedy the problem. I would love to hear how others have figured this one out.

Keurig is drip coffee. It will never be as strong as any espresso if thats what youre looking for.

The best you can do is buy cafe verona or dark espresso roast and try it in a refillable pod.

The OP is talking about the refillable pod.

That thing sucks. I went online and found some different "fixes" to make the pod work better, but none of them worked for me. The refillable cup is completely useless IMO.

What about the regular, non-refillable pods - any way to make those stronger?

What is the appeal in the first place of the K cups / Keurig system if the coffee isn't strong? Isn't it a lot more expensive than just brewing a regular pot? I just have a regular Braun machine and it brews very strong coffee. How did the Keurig thing get so popular? It seems like everyone has one.

Because its the perfect cup every time and you dont waste. Use Green Mountain Dark Magic or Espresso Blend. Buy in bulk online.

My 18 pack of K-cups for $11.99 regular price (though I buy on sale 95%) is cheaper then the coffee shop and more convienent than the pot. I also use it to make tea (from bags) and instant oatmeal. I love it.

To each their own. I'd never use a Vitamix or Soda Stream enough to warrant the cost. Keurig on the other hand is used at least twice a day at my house.

LOVE my Keurig.

Seriously, is it even socially acceptable to create that much waste? Unbelievable that people buy these things. Do you buy juice boxes of orange juice for yourself, too?

Ok, Judgy Mcjudger.

Does yours have settings for smaller cups sizes? If so put the full amount of coffee but make a smaller cup and it'll be strong.

It is okay to judge morally reprehensible behavior. That is why we have, for example, criminal laws. I find wasting and consuming plastic with reckless abandon to be morally reprehensible. I judge littering, too. See, it's ok to judge when the activity really is bad!!
