I have switched prentals, not taken any for two days, tried to eat differently but to no avail. I wake up in the morning and have diarrhea. Does anyone have any suggestions or have been through this?? |
Don't stop taking your prenatals! Especially if you have no other folic acid source.
It's very normal. I had diarrhea every morning for 4-5 weeks with both pregnancies, it's just how my body reacted to the hormones instead of vomiting. No suggestions, just ride it out. |
At least it's not constipation... |
normal. be grateful you're not throwing up every morning. (at least that's what I told myself). But it's no fun and could last till you are 14 weeks. |
are you eating yogurt? |
I had diarrhea the whole 40 weeks with my two previous pregnancies. This time, constipation. Pregnancy is just a fucked-up time, there's no other way to put it. ![]() |
Ha! 19 weeks here and going strong. The only slight improvement is that once in a while it skips a morning, so I probably have it 4 out of 5 mornings. Agree it's better than vomiting, though. |
Agreed! |
I'm with you ladies too! I literally said to my husband last night that I would give anything for a bought of diarrhea right about now. LOL. Something I never thought I'd say. =) |
Eat some yogurt and make sure you're drinking enough water. I had this, too, but it stopped around 7 weeks. And by stopped I mean STOPPED and turned into constipation. I'm not sure which is worse. |
I had this through the first trimester and some of the second with my last 2 pregnancies. |
Op here. Thanks for the responses. Hopefully it won't last the whole nine months :/ |
I had it until 12 weeks. You can stop taking prenatal vitamins- they are hard to stomach- for a few weeks and take folic acid and slow-release iron as separate supplements. |
It's just vomiting through your butt. Think of it as another kind of "morning sickness". |
I was told it was the progesterone, which just loosens everything up.... |
