I have had the complete opposite issue, I am taking stool softeners and still cant go for about three days at a time... It may be the grass is always greener but I kind of wish I had your issue instead. |
Wow, that's quite a concept. Thank you for this thread. I feel like all the other first trimester women have constipation. It's nice to hear the reverse is normal. |
Mine is not limited to first thing in the morning. Is that bad? |
I had morning sickness that manifested as diarrhea instead of vomiting. I would feel sick to my stomach but would have the urge to poop instead of vomit. This was early on.
Starting 2nd trimester or so I had heartburn and constipation. Ewww...Constipation is the worst. |
Was it only in the morning or at other times? |
Now at 18 weeks, it's on-and-off, but yes, diarrhea here too. I guess it's better than the alternative. Be sure not to become dehydrated. Drink lots! |
Had the same here! Changing prenatals helped a little, and it disappeared around the end of the first trimester. (Almost 22 weeks and no constipation though). My OB was concerned, but a little research revealed it to be an uncommon but not unheard of 1st trimester complaint. bananas, yogurt and lots of fluids. |
31 weeks and diarrhea going strong since the beginning. Nothing has helped, but considering I've been on the other side of the fence (constipation) with my first and grass is greener on this side! If you need proof, just read the thread about cutting poop with plastic knife and having to use your finger to "remove" it. I'll take diarrhea any day. And I have... |
Just be careful to stay hydrated. Don't let anyone panic you about the prenatals either. We had perfectly healthy babies before we had prenatal vitamins. It's not even clear how much you can absorb from them anyhow.
Are you getting enough veggies/fiber? Too much? Could be a sensitivity to something you're eating. |
Okay ladies did y'all have diarrhea before y'all knew y'all were pregnant? Af was supposed to be today, an hasn't came. My cycles are usually 36 days. Used to be 28 to 30 days until I had a MC last year. Any thoughts?? |
This is what I told my husband. Pregnant with my second and the diarrhea through week 14 was constant. No puking at least, but seriously. Not even sure I was absorbing nutrients. |
