Promotion for him and his career and CW and LW and the BOD went along for the rid. If things do not work out he'll just go to another club. Most importantly though is there a parent out there who's DD likes playing for him? I have not met one people just put up with him.

Why do you think that the girls were up to the clubs? That makes no sense. It was all or nothing. ECNL does not want clubs without both a boys and girls side.

NOT true, do your research... Plenty of ECNL clubs with just one or the other.

ID Session on a weeknight for HS age group, good job McBrave. When kids are already stressed out to the max and feel that missing a session would be the end of it all, they now have to sacrifice HS soccer for it (the only place that seems to treat them with a modicum of respect these days). (By the way, all other respectful clubs (VDA, NVA) have their HS sessions on weekends). I don't need to say no more...

I hear what you are saying, but you know in club coaches' minds that the club (even Super Cup) is more important than HS soccer

Sadly for us, we have not got any. The coaches could have told them the offer will be out after the next ID session

Maybe, but right now, in the middle of that shit show, it's the only sure thing my kid has when it comes to soccer.

Give it a break. Clubs don’t give a crap about HS sports and, IMO, shouldn’t. Club sports is what gets you into college for soccer.

Yep, that's why cutting kids in the middle of their recruiting process is f***ed up. And don't give me that if they don't make the team, they did not deserve it. If you are in the know, then you know that it will have little to do with their skills and everything to do with who they know, where they play, and who is the head coach.

Comments like this just show you how ignorant parents are to what players want. HS soccer is the one chance that most of these players will ever get to play in front of their friends and take pride in playing for their school. Most of these "elite" players will never play college soccer or pro which has a similar experience. HS soccer is an experience most players love regardless of the level of play. Playing club soccer with screaming annoying parents on the sideline will never be more enjoyable as playing HS. NEVER. This whole drama over ECNL is the result of disconnected parents and club leadership who don't realize they are ruining the essence of the game for the players. MYS leadership should have asked the players what they wanted. I guarantee you that nearly all of them would tell you they would rather keep their coaches regardless of the league they play in. This is why MYS parents are upset. Unfortunately and typical in american culture it's the 1% driving the decisions. How many different leagues do we have to play in before we realize it's not the league that matters. F*ck ECNL. Players have and will continue to get recruited regardless of the "platform" they play in. NCSL, CCL, EDP, USYS NL, NAL, EAL, ECNL, MLSNext, and whatever else they come up with in the future will not (and should not) change the clubs responbiility to it's member to provide the best experiences for their players. How is this merger improving on the experience of the majority it's players. It's not. It's catering the minority and enriching it's staff/leadership - got to pay for LW to have an associate ED to do all her work. Parent's now have to deal with another fee increase to $3200 and pay for new uniforms AGAIN! They just raised fees last year and we are in year one of uniforms. Team fees will be A LOT higher than $500. Bank on that. Who's paying for 2-3 coaches per team plus GK staff to travel to away games and showcases. Parents are. Rosters will be huge to make sure both clubs get players in the team. Good luck with playing time. I feel like I am taking crazy pills. The club lacks core values and this merger is evidence of that.
