They are doing a good job. I think the NPYLL league going down the toiled is the lacrosse version of the Berlin Wall coming down. McClernan is a self interested, financially self serving scumbag and a bully who changes a rule every time his precious teams lose a game. The further that Madlax, Black Wolf, 3D, Next Level, Club Blue, Bethesda, etc. can get away from all things McClernan it is for best I say. It will be interesting to see if VLC is welcomed into a new local league given McClernan owns the teams. Frankly this is just a cow bell call for smart VLC families to migrate to other clubs, start their own club or get a divorce from McClernan and buy the club back. Life is too short to be in bed with RM.

Chops to the Next Level bunch for trying to do things the right way! They are 10-15 year old kids for the record.

I've heard rumblings about this and folks posting on various boards, but haven't seen any official confirmation (i.e. no email from club, NPYLL site hasn't updated, Madlax still shows NPYLL for Spring season).

Assuming it's true -- what does that leave? Howard County league?

Rumor was all the teams are moving to the HoCo league. So if Madlax and Cannons go to HoCo, what does it accomplish leaving NPYLL? I'm all for putting all the best teams in one league so they can compete; hoping that is what ends up happening.

I'm no Cabell fan or client, but check me on that again. I wrote he's got a good business. He's got teams and does leagues, crappy tournaments and clinics in four regions now and has a lucrative on-line retail apparel and uniforms business.

Ryan McClernan is a scumbag. I wasn't flattering Cabell at all to say McClernan is the one morally and ethically below him and the petrified whale dung at the bottom of the ocean floor.

Call friends whose kids are on the team and get the high school coach to pitch in a word too. It's lacrosse. You get what you kiss ass for and not what you earn. Trig loves the flattery. And if you leave the impression that you're an easy mark for expensive clinics and other events, that is a plus. Good luck.

Unless you are one of his goons, how do you know his retail business is doing well?
