Trump is going to take credit for the low gas prices and all of the manufacturing and other jobs created over the last 3 and a half years, not to mention the growing GDP. And the rubes will completely memory hold the last 4 years and the work this administration did to make things better.

Gas prices will spike again under Trump. Just wait and see.

We are in the process of losing refining capacity.

Not if they open the USNWR for oil exploration.

That is more government meddling in the private sector. Without government subsidies gas prices would be about $12.50 a gallon

That doesn't do anything for refinery capacity.

It's also not going to increase oil production because prices are too low right now.

Right? The oil companies are not going to increase drilling and exploration with oil in the 60s.

the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge has not enough oil to do anything long term, but will be wildly destructive to wildlife and the environment. Yes, yes, we know your party wants to rape anything they can, including the environment, and will be successful this time. But, you're a fuxxing idiot if you think this will do anything for you as a consumer.

The US has been producing record energy and record oil for the past 2 and a half years. There isn't capacity to produce more.

This is what is going to happen. Musk wants this along with no EV subsidies (because EVs will not need subsidies when gas is no longer subsidized).

That is expensive oil to get. Last estimate I saw was $90 a barrel and that was before all the melting up there. Its most likely a bit more expensive now. If oil reaches $80 the fracking people start back up. So that will put down ward pressure on oil. It will take years to get the oil up to production levels and it’s just not that much oil.

This would be a smart move.

There will be a million barrels a day surplus next year. China is not using it nearly as much as expected.

Trump will be taking credit for it on Jan. 20 (Inauguration Day)

The President has no control over the price of gas, unless his name is Biden and the price goes down.
