"McAfee was an assistant district attorney in the Barrow County, Georgia, Piedmont Judicial Circuit.[8] He joined the office of the district attorney in Fulton County, Georgia, in April 2015, initially working on the early stages of criminal cases.[9] He later was promoted to working as a prosecutor in the complex trial division, which was then headed by prosecutor Fani Willis, who was later elected as Fulton County district attorney.[i][u][1][10] McAfee was eventually promoted to senior assistant district attorney in the major case division, where he prosecuted felony cases including armed robbery and murder.[5][1]

So somehow your wiki quote makes him "subservient" to her? Have you ever met a lawyer? A prosecutor? Or a judge?

Or anyone?

Yes. I have practiced civil litigation for 19 years.

Then you know that judges are not subservient.

Knock it off.

I will not.

My postings are not only based on 19 years of legal experience but I I also watched every second of ALL the arguments and ALL the testimony including any comments by the judge over 2 days.

My point is precise that judges do not tolerate the behavior/conduct Fani displayed period. In any other courtroom such a behavior will 100% result in contempt of court based on my 19 years of legal experience.

Thereby, only plausible explanation is that he directly received 2 promotions and directly worked under Fani for 4/6 years he had been a lawyer before becoming a judge.

Ah so now the theory is that Fani has a magic crystal ball and years ago predicted her big chance to destroy your beloved innocent Donald Trump and hatched a secret scheme to manipulate the whole system to put her lackeys and minions on the bench as judges. Yep, suuuure...

No, Fani just got lucky (or arranged perhaps?) that she drew the ONE judge who happened to work directly under her for 4 years (out of 6 total legal experience) and Fani was the one who promoted McAfee TWICE at the DA's office.

What a coincidence. Lot of coincidences going on at that DA's office.

What was apparent to me based on last week's testimony of Terrence Bradley and Austin Dabney (the attorney with the poofy manbun) as well as some of the other people........ This office is basically incestuous. They all know each other, they refer each other for jobs, there are conflicts left and right, and they all seem to cover each other's asses. This whole case was destined to run into challenges simply because of the people involved.

Useful idiot cronies in a political machine. Atlanta has always been a corrupt backwater, especially in the 90s and 00s when these low watt buffoons were making their bones.

Part of me hopes that Fani and her lover are able to remain on the case.
Given that she has severely damaged the reputation of the Fulton County DA office, she would be hard pressed to seat a jury of 12 people who would vote to convict any of those on trial.

No, Judge McAfee WORKED directly under Fani for 4 years (out of 6 long years of legal experience out of law school) immediately before McAfee became a judge.

Oh, and Fani promoted him TWICE at the DA's office right before McAfee assumed bench.

It is a county DA office. You clearly are not familiar with them, so you really shouldn't comment.

For as "bad" as you think it is in Fulton County, GA, it is far worse in places like rural Alabama and Mississippi where the 'good ol boy' network takes care of each other and has for centuries. Weird take that you cast aspersions on some black attorneys without realize that the cornyism is embedded in other parts of the country in a far worse way.

Because he is clearly a level-headed and smart jurist. What is your point?

Have you heard of Judge Cannon?

I mean, these things happen. It is pure lottery.

Yeah, right. The Atlanta Political Machine lottery.

You have zero evidence of "The Atlanta Political Machine" being behind this. You're just failing wildly.

But when it’s a red county you’re the first one to call them racist hillbilly crooks, aren’t you? Urban machines are corrupt as hell because there’s so much money sloshing around. The average hillbilly county might want to be corrupt but there’s not enough people and money sloshing around. Go to a Southern county meeting and you’ll see gadflies who examine every little line item like a hawk. While this $800K or whatever it was legal fee to her married boyfriend isn’t even a blip on the radar around Atlanta. You think there are public servant hillbillies in the South taking first class trips to fake conferences and living it up in 5 star hotels? Hell no.

800k? Really, where is that dollar figure from?

“County records show that Wade, who has played a prominent role in the election interference case, has been paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. The DA authorizes his compensation.”

Maybe you should has listened to the testimony instead of quoting an article. That allegation was sufficiently answered. You don't seem to understand the wild cost of litigation.

Maybe for comparison sake Trump's attorneys should be put on the stand to talk about how much they have billed out and been paid to represent Trump.

The ex-law partner who was backstabbed on Friday by Fani has some very interesting text messages with Wade showing the big Fani is a big corrupt liar.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis claimed during her Thursday testimony at the hearing to disqualify her from the Georgia election case against former President Donald Trump that she took a significant amount of cash from her first election and used it to replenish her physical cash reserves. Willis claimed to use the physical cash to repay her former lover, special prosecutor Nathan Wade, for luxurious vacations.

Willis made the claim about keeping “some of the cash” from her first campaign when asked about the origin of her cash savings. The district attorney claimed she has been saving physical cash “all my life,” and gave as an example, “When I took out a large amount of money on my first campaign, I kept some of the cash of that.”

The district attorney also testified on Thursday that she lost $50,000 in that election, which she admitted left her “broke” toward the end of 2018.

Additionally, it is unclear where Willis sourced the $19,000 for the documented loan, including whether she retrieved the money from the cash reserves which she testified were used to repay Wade for the luxurious vacations they shared during the span of their relationship.

The Ethics Commission did not respond to a request by Star News for more information about the loans made to Willis’ 2018 campaign, including inquiries into the source of the $30,000 loan, and why there is no publicly available paperwork explaining the cash infusion, prior to press time.

An email address provided by the current Willis campaign on government paperwork likewise did not return a comment request from Star News that sought information about the loans and repayment.

Additionally, Star News contacted Fulton County’s government to obtain information from the district attorney’s office about her 2018 campaign, but did not receive a timely response.

Hopefully, this will all be investigated by the various groups looking into her behavior.
