If she signed on to the movie expecting and agreeing to X amount of nudity and sex scenes and the director was now requiring X + Y amount of nudity and sex scenes, including giving birth wet and fully naked in a tub and simulating climax on screen, then yes, this is something actors and actresses dispute and negotiate about all the time. Not sure why you’re confused about this. Above, I watched the birth scene on YouTube and I would not describe her as “fully clothed” in it, even if Baldini didn’t get his way with the fully naked birth in a tub. So to me it seems like they wound up with a reasonable birth scene with necessary nudity but not unnecessary nudity, if that makes sense. |
| I had two kids, naked legs are pretty much a given. Is the argument that BL wouldn’t know this? |
|
That is a different argument. If they didn’t agree to nudity and they were arguing about that that is a separate issue. It was the mansplaining that was bothering me. Nobody was telling her how childbirth works. They were trying to communicate how they wanted to do the scene. And just like with every scene in this movie, she didn’t want to do it, presumably just because she wants to have full power, and wasn’t going to agree to any ideas that they had. Which is funny given that it has been made clear she has never has even read the book. But either way they weren’t explaining childbirth to her. They were telling her how they wanted to do the scene. It’s fine if she didn’t agree, but you don’t get to call it mansplaining. |
Are you the same poster writing about her naked belly as if she wasn’t wearing a pregnancy suit? |
You must not have read Baldonis legal complaint. Blake never turned in her nudity rider, despite multiple attempts from the production company to get it for her. If she had laid out what she could and couldn’t do, she’s clearly never communicated that to the producers. I do think the production company did not have a good legal team in place. They never should have let her on set before the nudity rider was signed, and they never should’ve let her on site before her employment agreement was signed. That opened the door for her to make these demands and get them to sign the non-negotiated list of complaints that they didn’t all agree with during the strike. The legal team really left them exposed. Clearly, Blake’s team knew this and tried to take advantage of it. They clearly thought they were just going to roll over. I don’t think they expected him to fight back and publish all of the text and emails. |
Her complaint says he called it “not normal” to be wearing a hospital gown during birth. Which he hasn’t contradicted. That’s textbook mansplaining. |
PP has nothing and has been screaming here and elsewhere that BL was forced to be “nude” against all evidence when Baldoni’s response and the posts by people who watched the movie indicates she wore a pregnancy fake belly, a hospital gown, and underpants - for a birth scene. Neither BL nor any of her undereducated PR losers have claimed that she was forced to splay her uncovered labia a centimeter from a bunch of stranger dudes who were recording said majesty of with their iPhones and making gross comments while she wept. That is what PP keeps insinuating so writing it out exposes the lie in a way BL was NOT exposed in that setting. She did provocative nudity inflicting fake groans on audience members in Savages — but Oliver Stone would have ripped out her extensions and have her black listed had she lied about what she was “forced” to do. Her nudes to allegedly allegedly Ben Affleck were publicized allegedly allegedly by Jennifer Garner, Ben’s wife, after BL and BA ran lines (of Coca Cola) and had inadvertent penetration while acting out their demure love scenes for The Town. Allegedly allegedly. So there it is - and anyone previously unfamiliar with Blake, patron Saint of Integrity, can Google and determine whether it’s more or less realistic that a pile of horny near-rapists forced her to spread in a movie after cruelly depriving her of a stitch to wear. Or whether that’s BS. Her career is done. Hope the marriage to Mint Mobile was fully worth it. |
| She had on a pregnancy suit, underwear AND a hospital gown on. THREE LAYERS. |

+1. And a film in which the childbirth scene is the pivotal part of the entire movie. It wasn’t like it was a minor element! It’s the entire plot! |
Doesn’t mean she has to do it naked in a tub. Sorry not sorry. |
And not wanting to do that does that mean that you can claim social harassment. Sorry, not sorry. |
This is why you have no credibility. She didn’t film it naked in a tub. |
