I believe it after multiple people have asked her in multiple platforms why did she leave MCPS and to talk about her employment background and she has refused. Then, her common anwser is to put great quotes from history. Do you know why she left MCPS? |
What religion has an exemption for masking? It would be one thing if she had documented breathing issues but if she had breathing issues, she'd want to protect her self by everyone masking. That article states she was put on administrative leave - so she either quit or was terminated. |
I don't. But I don't see how a lack of responses validates an unattributed, unsubstantiated rumor. |
Brenda, you aren't denying it. You give a damning non-answer. |
When did you stop beating your wife? |
I would not have gotten vaccinated or worn a mask during teaching to keep a job at Gaithersburg HS either. "Vulnerable" high school students had plenty of options and did not need to return to in-person school. |
NP. OK? And if you were running for BoE, I wouldn't vote for you either. But you're not. |
All of the candidates are awful. |
Then maybe you should consider running, yourself, next time. |
I don’t have the time. I’m a school counselor. |
Sounds like you'd be a better candidate than what we have. |
Thank you for all you do. I hope you are near retirement. |
It'd be a full time-plus job if it were to be done well. Maybe paying it as such for the caliber of candidate we'd want would be reasonable. |
The league of women voters forum was illuminating.
Diaz vs Zimmerman Zimmerman was the clear winner. She was focused and disciplined in her responses and emphasized the disconnect between policy and implementation. Also leaned in on science of reading and an early warning system. Diaz was unfocused and rambled. She wandered off on tangents and didn’t express a vision. Her strength was her clear passion for a rigorous curriculum but it got lost in her rambling anecdotes about reading Shakespeare in a GT program in the Bronx. Evans vs Stewart Stewart was the stronger of the two though it was closer. I am not sure Evans’ strategy of reminding people she’s been on the board, including in a leadership role, for 8 years was wise. Stewart focused on accountability and transparency and gave a lot of clear examples like deferred maintenance. Evans sounded defensive and mentioned pre-K expansion a lot which is fine but not our only priority. Harris vs Montoya I’d call this a tie. Both women came across as smart, informed, persistent, and prepared. The tossup here is whether you want to throw the bums out or not. I am leaning toward Harris personally as I think Montoya is an unknown factor and Harris has been working hard on fiscal management changes, but the forum performances were both good. |
Thanks very much, this was really helpful! |
