What rules of war allow strip-searching children?
|
Hamas can end the war at any time, but sounds like you want war to continue for some reason with a goal in mind. You want the international community to acknowledge war crimes and such so that means you really think Hamas is fighting toward a goal--what's the goal that is so important that they are exposing Gazans to the so called war criminals? |
Or they could have just returned the hostages |
| Nobody seems to have an answer for that one…. |

But somehow I suspect you are NOT cool if the changing of hands involves Israelis being displaced, amirite? And you are very self-satisfied telling others to deal with it, and to move on. Interesting, to say the least. |
Hamas knew Israel would respond by killing massive numbers of innocent civilians in Gaza and treating children as criminals. Israel will never recover from this. From now on it will be a pariah state throughout most of the world for the remainder of its existence. In a few decades the U.S. will pull its support as well - the younger generations are far more sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinians and increasingly see Israel as an oppressive, well-armed country that delights in killing people of all ages indiscriminately for the crime of not being Jewish. |
If there’s a reason to believe they are being used as child soldiers/martyrs, of course they can be strip searched. |
Imagine the uproar if The Gaza Post ran an opinion column making a case for resettlement of Jews someone else. https://www.jpost.com/opinion/article-779510 The facts demonstrate that the northern Sinai Peninsula is an ideal location to develop a spacious resettlement for the people of Gaza. Its open areas, along with the existing infrastructure, can easily host large-scale development projects that, if led by the Chinese and supported by local labor, for example, can easily mature in just one to two years. Firm American and international guidance lined with financial and operative support can surely pave the way to this creative and prosperous solution and jointly help Egypt’s dire demographic and economic situation that is challenging its political authority. Israel will also be cooperative in sharing its hi-tech-oriented agricultural capabilities with Egypt as it did following the Peace Treaty in the early 1980s. However, history has taught us that Gazans, despite their complaints about their humanitarian situation, may object towards genuine rehabilitation programs. This stubbornness substantially relies on their desire to destroy Israel, which repeatedly comes at their own expense. The ongoing obliteration of Hamas, which terrorizes Palestinian Authority officials and many Gaza residents, may pave the way to the emergence of the proposed Sinai solution, if presented in a wise and discrete manner that conforms to the Middle East mentality. |
If that is what you want to happen, go for it, see what happens. Sounds like you want people to say this is righteous and a moral imperative. Never going to get that satisfaction. |
PoC do not identify with Israel and Jewish people claiming Palestine as their ancestral homeland. |
