Princess Charlene of Monaco What the Heck is happening with her?

This really is the strangest story. She is well enough to participate in service projects but not well enough to fly back to Monaco? She clearly doesn't want to.

I never understood this marriage to begin with. She never looks happy. He is who he is. They certainly courted long enough, you can't say she was pressured to marry him. Why? Why marry?

Reports at the time of their wedding said that Charlene tried to bolt but her passport was confiscated and she was persuaded to go through with it. She looked like she had seen a ghost all throughout the ceremony.

I think it defies belief that someone strong enough to make an Olympic team could be forced to go along with anything. What possible leverage would Albert have over her if she said no? Do you really think he could hold her prisoner indefinitely? If he did at all? Do you think maybe the sparkles of royalty did their thing? Despite Albert's glaring faults, a royal prince could easily, EASILY find many many willing brides.

All right, please explain how someone like Charlene can be forced to marry someone like Albert? What leverage would he have over her?

He's been paying off her family and her support for 20 years that's how. If he called in those debts they (the South African family) would be destitute. It's not like Charlene had a career at all. She didn't even medal in the Olympics which would have gotten her some lucrative Phelps-level sponsorships.

He hasn't been paying off her family for twenty years as of the day of their marriage. That doesn't explain your "forced marriage" theory.

They are married. It's his job to support her. I don't think a husband can sue the wife for whatever money he spent on her support during marriage.

If you're making an argument that Charlene wed someone rich she didn't love, well, millions of women across the globe made that same choice and it wasn't forced, it was their own calculus.

No one has to have a career. I'm sure she could have found a middleclass job and married someone unremarkable if she wanted to. No one HAS to marry a philandering prince. It was her own choice. Maybe an unhappy one but a choice nevertheless.

She's in charge of her own social media. A lot of these royals would be a complete mess if they had to do anything themselves, Charlene included.

Aww man I feel bad and with the speculation too that can’t be healthy. Honestly I wonder if she has a horrible terminal disease and is trying to help fix and cutting her hair is part of it like a bad cancer and a way to let the kids down easy. She doesn’t look healthy at all, i think this goes beyond usual marital strife and gossip.

No one has a terminal disease and abandons their 6-year-old's a continent away while they're dying.

That's the point. When I said 'charge' she's doing it herself. Putting these images up herself. The only problem is, unlike Meghan who was also in charge of her own social media, she is terrible at it.

Not that I think Charlene cares at this point.
